  1. Crews is not going back to college and not going to the USFL; draft him
  2. I remember that Lange's numbers last year with Hasse behind the plate were significantly worse; but overall Haase is doing better in 2023 than Rogers. Maybe Jake gets more rookies?
  3. Tork still has the biggest bonus under the current system $8,416,300. Bonus pools by club: Pirates: $16,185,700 Tigers: $15,747,200 (they can go to 105% without penalty; an extra $787,360; $16,534,560 total) Nationals: $14,502,400 1. Pirates: $9,721,000 2. Nationals: $8,998,500 3. Tigers: $8,341,700 4. Rangers: $7,698,000 5. Twins: $7,139,700 Offer Crews $9M (basically 2nd pick money) and he will take it.
  4. Like ESPN, Pipeline has Skenes - Crews - Langford, and then with LHP Whitman (Kent St) at 37 https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-pipeline-2023-mock-draft-july-6?t=mlb-draft-coverage
  5. if the Nats trade him to the Dodgers for Trayce Thompson, I'm going to be super pissed
  6. Tor had a DH yesterday with G1 going 2 extra innings so maybe they are tired today
  7. Flores got bombed in his 2nd and 3rd starts, but has been good or great every start since
  8. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/07/top-50-deadline-trade-candidates-early-july-edition.html Lorenzen, ERod, Cisnero, Foley, Lange
  9. Greene-Meadows-Vierling
  10. the 2024 payroll will be about $80M-$100M short of the top 10
  11. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/2023-mock-draft-1-0/ I think Skenes is a virtual lock at no. 2 regardless of who the first pick is, and I now think there’s a growing likelihood that that first pick will be Langford. Not enough to mock him there just yet, but enough that I’d consider him the second most likely player to go first behind Crews. 37. Detroit Tigers Pick: Tommy Troy, SS, Stanford
  12. What is Harris' bonus for keeping next year's payroll under $100m?
  13. the Nats are taking Skenes if he is there at 2
  14. The Rangers announced they’ve acquired Aroldis Chapman from the Royals. Left-hander Cole Ragans and outfield prospect Roni Cabrera are going back to Kansas City in return.
  15. do i want a high or low rarity score?
  16. lost 2 games but it cost us 3 pitchers; hope Coors can help wake up some more bats
  17. Law has new mock out, still Skenes, Crews, Langford; but has Jenkins falling to 7.
  18. Twins lost; now 40-42, but in 1st, just ahead of Cleve by % points; will any ALC team get 84 wins?
  19. Fox mock: Langford and HS SS 37. Detroit Tigers — SS Walker Martin; Eaton (CO) Martin will be one of the more fascinating prep players to monitor on draft night. Having already turned 19 in February, he’s one of the oldest high-school players in the class which gives some teams pause. However, he also had one of the loudest springs of any prep hitter as he downright dominated all season to a ridiculous degree, albeit against middling competition in northern Colorado. He very well could go in the 10-20 range, but I have him sliding to the comp round in this scenario. Either way, it would make sense for Detroit to pair a likely college pick at No. 3 with a high-upside high schooler here at No. 37.
  20. Tanner Kohlhepp finally threw one inning, 2 years after being drafted in the 5th round of the 2021 draft from ND.
  21. gave up 1 run, then 4 runs, and I assume they brought him back out looking for a solid 3rd inning give him something to build off of, but then he got shelled for 6 more runs. yikes!
  22. they revamped the training staff and injuries continue apace; do they have more injuries than average?
