  1. This is so dangerously wrong. Trump beat Clinton by less than 80K votes across 3 states; Biden beat Trump by less then 45K votes across 3 states. If the DNC get out the vote was just a little stronger (or if Comey does not kneecap her), Trump is never President. Similarly, if Trump is just little less disgusting in his first term, he would have tied Biden at 269 and the House would have re-elected him. Trump absolutely has an EC path in 2024, narrow as it may be,
  2. can we go back to playing the crappy teams again?
  3. Pipeline and Law both have Teel at 6, so not a huge stretch and if you can get him for 7.3M, that gives you 1M to play with later. But Crews and Langford are both having seasons worthy of the #1` pick (Skenes, too).
  4. Trump will use EO to change constitution, just like Madison intended
  5. hate is a strong word, but boy do I hope Carpenter is ready Friday and Ibanez never comes back
  6. If Harris had kept payroll at 2022 level, he would have added 2 more FA for $13m, like Chafin + Mancini. I’m sure that made Ilitch happy. But looks like that was a bad decision to go cheap, and that looks worse now with how things are shaking out so far.
  7. (pre-emptive ducks) Niko Goodrum in SSS is hitting LHP well and drawing lots of walks
  8. ‘Fox and Friends’ Staged Interview Bashing New Chicago Mayor Two men who were featured in a Fox and Friends live segment inside a Naperville diner on the morning of Mayor Brandon Johnson’s inauguration didn’t just “happen to be from Chicago,” as correspondent Gianno Caldwell originally said. Not only did Caldwell invite Lavondale “Big Dale” Glass and Andre Smith to the interview, but the Fox reporter allegedly lied that the interview would be about violence, not Johnson, TRiiBE reported. The correspondent kicked off the interview offering his condolences to Glass, who lost his son in a 2021 shooting. “How are you doing, and what do you think about the election of Brandon Johnson?” Caldwell asked. While Glass replied the election was a “fluke” and criticized the new mayor, he later told TRiiBE that the question took him by complete surprise. “I was upset that he asked me that question,” Glass said. “And it kind of caught me off guard, because I’m still upset about my son.” He doesn’t necessarily oppose Johnson, Glass clarified, but just has doubts in general about politicians’ ability to address street violence. TRiiBE also found that both men had ties to Johnson’s opponent Paul Vallas’ campaign. Glass is the assistant director of a nonprofit whose founder endorsed Vallas, and Smith—who didn’t speak in the segment but was seated next to Glass—was a paid Vallas campaign worker.
  9. No doubt. I am just grasping for anyone. Knapp is hitting RHP well; hot April; decent May. Aaron Hicks? LOL. There are very few choices.
  10. Vest-Foley-Lange get it done, even if not dominant tonight. They would have had a pretty awesome BP if they resigned Chafin. 2.5 behind MN; 1 game in loss column.
  11. first RBIs - keep that baseball!
  12. Knapp would give them a LH bat at C and DH.
  13. Jobe has not given up an earned run all year!
  14. Henning has Langford #1, which is possible I guess
  15. scoring runs is so much harder to do when you have no team power
  16. Ibanez has been in a 2 week death spiral and is somehow how worse than Schoop, who at least gives you some D and singles vs. LHP. Carpenter and Kreidler's injuries are keeping them both around. Nevin did not impress but is raking in Tol; hope he gets another look soon. McKinstry and Maton have traditional splits, so that might save Schoop.
  17. 8 pitches means Lange and his 0.93 ERA will be back for the 9th
  18. Yankees just ate over $27M to DFA Aaron Hicks. Schoop should not be on the roster come June 1.
  19. The Nats top 3 prospects are OFs; and 6 of their top 10; i know you are not supposed to draft for need, and you can always trade talent, but they are taking Skenes for sure.
  20. MLB Draft is July 9-11
  21. ugly line up. Schoop and Miggy and Short?
  22. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/detroit-tigers-top-34-prospects/ The Tigers have struggled to fill their system with above-average hit tools. Be it their big international signees or the large conference college performers who they tend to take in the draft, there is only one above-average hit tool projected in this entire system (Danny Serretti). It’s strange because a mechanical through line in the system is the ultra-short, shallow load that usually prevents hitters from being long into the hitting zone. Yet even though many of the hitters above use a short load, they have issues making contact. Hit tool issues threaten huge swaths of this system, including most of the high-upside hitters. Even Jace Jung’s in-zone contact rates are pretty pedestrian. It’s been a big enough issue that a change to the club’s approach to drafting and signing hitters should probably occur under the new regime.
