  1. I think being friends with a success coordinator it really something that should be on a resume. Being a midling coordinator for a bad team is neither a positive or a negative. So we shall see if he made the best with Murray and Conner, or if someone had to get some yards. We will see. I personally don’t care if coordinator leaves every year or so. Success does that. Guess who isn’t getting a HC gig? Morton. Because he was bad. Morton’s numbers probably look pretty good. He led a Lions offense for half a season that I see people here say was highly successful based on their stats. We all know he was in fact not successful. He didn’t know how to use the players he had. He was replaced mid season.
  2. Maybe this was genius. Or maybe this is a head coach afraid to hire his own mid-season replacement. Time will tell.
  3. I’d rather that than the Seahawks or Patriots.
  4. 14 quarters, yuck? Cherry-picked stats are no bueno. Curious if we think he is the reason the Lions lost in the NFC championship game. I can’t say that. I missed the Washington game, was busy getting engaged overseas and then didn’t bother watching once I knew the outcome. This Bears team played above their heads all season. They are totally due for a regression. But he did a great job of making a running game out of this garbage OL and mid RBs. He made Caleb Williams look serviceable. The Lions would have ran away with the division if he was still here. I just don’t get the hate. i’m also glad he’s not our HC. I think his shtick is going to wear thin quickly.
  5. Bears had a good run. Only time will tell if their FO is going to keep young talent coming in. Ben Johnson will be a good play caller no matter what. Also time will tell if he can split his focus and keep the team together and focused.
  6. I agree. I had a post similar to that. I think that the only way to solve the issue with gambling in the mix.
  7. I’d take a Quinyon Mitchell type if there is one.
  8. This team is way better than what we’ve had for a long time but they are still not very good.
  9. Sean McVay will coach 15th postseason game — against 15th different opponent
  10. They owed us for the Raymond penalty and for the linesman getting in the way of that outlet pass in OT. But the Wings are passive in all aspects on defense while teams like the Canes can put pressure on an offense. Don’t think we can expect to be successful in a long series playing bunched up in front of our net.
  11. Lucky. Wish I was there.
  12. I think I was in the nosebleeds for this game
  13. I don’t like what the Packers did for their long term prospects. I think there is something between that and a no trades though. I don’t value something like a 3rd round pick over picking up talent and making the playoffs.
  14. I agree. Just thinking that if the defense is slipping and Lamar and Henry suddenly fall off a cliff, maybe this team is just riding the tail end of the Ozzie Newsome wave. Or maybe not.
  15. Flip side. You have to be in it to win it. Neither the Packers nor the Eagles lost because of their trades, and were likely only in the playoffs because of them. I struggle to justify the Packers price for Parsons long term but also hate that we have to play him 2x per year. The Eagles traded a 3rd for a very disruptive pass rusher. I think trading 3rds for someone like Philips is acceptable.
  16. I’d put Falcons #2. They have a great core on offense without the injury problems and are not tied to a big QB salary. They also play in a winnable division. I have to think the Dolphins are only above the Raiders simply due to Tua. I’m personally higher on the Browns than either the Cardinals or Titans. I guess the Titans depends on if Cam is the real deal or not. Also, if the Ravens magic is over on defense that job could be a trap. Lamar and Henry are reaching their shelf life on running in the NFL.
  17. Holy crap, it happened before in December.
  18. They got their studs D coordinator back.
  19. So who is losing? Someone has to be. This is super weird.
  20. I want to go Tuesday but prices are a bit silly.
  21. Carolina did enough to win. Proved they deserved to be in the playoffs too. Great game.
  22. He’s as likely to draft a TE2 as a WR4.
  23. You are right. Tesla’s started seeing playing time once St Brown and Raymond got hurt. I was exaggerating when mentioning Kennedy. What is also true is Fannin played 72% of the snaps week 1 and played between 63-96% all season. Even with Njoku on the roster he was getting playing time. There is no reason to believe that Fannin would have played over Brock Wright to start the season.
