  1. Curious what a game manager is.
  2. He didn’t survive the ground as they like to say. He caught it and would have kept possession sans injury. As it was, when he hit the ground the ball got dislodged. It’s just not a catch with the rules today. I’m actually not against it either. I’d prefer this version than allowing anyone with two hands on the ball to be considered in possession. Same with the bobbles going out of bounds. Make it a requirement that they have it firmly before granting possession.
  3. Oh yeah, totally agree.
  4. I actually prefer the expedited booth review. No need to stop the game at all. It just needs to be consistent. And I agree with the fraction of an inch. We only care about placement when it’s near the first down marker. I really want the chip stuff to be operational.
  5. I agree but … Fields is not Goff. He’s going to pull everyone under being asked to do something he’s non capable of, namely play QB.
  6. I don’t mind the assistance if it’s all the time. I do mind if it’s inconsistent. Either have someone with replay ability to help all the time or stay out of it. There is no in-between.
  7. Woody Johnson’s candid comments about QB Justin Fields are a bad look for G.M. Darren Mougey
  8. That’s being said the interception was in interception. And they review should have automatically looked at the spot even through the challenge was for possession. Shouldn’t have need a second review to get it right.
  9. Baker Mayfield let the ref know he was frustrated with “questionable” calls As he should be. There were some weird sequences out there. It’s frustrating that the makeup calls came against the Bucs. The Chiefs were the beneficiaries of the BS last week, they should be the ones to pay the price.
  10. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQDxIhUjQRv/?l=1 Gibbs gave his game ball to Sewell and Barnes tried to give his to Sheppard.
  11. The defense is better without Glenn, no doubt. Still not sold on offense. Stats are mostly there, but they just don’t seem as versatile. It’s mostly coming from 3 guys.
  12. Well ****. Looks like he’s on pace to play fewer snaps too. Never mind.
  13. Just got home and didn’t realize he broke his collarbone. Damn.
  14. The ball to Evans was perfect, and Evans was going to catch it if he didn’t almost get knocked out by the ground.
  15. I would probably die out there. I have no idea who 4 or 5 of those defensive backs are but they played so well it was nuts. Probably helped all of Tampa’s WRs were hurt too.
  16. I think having Justin Fields as your QB is like holding an anchor while treading water. You’d be better off just letting them go.
  17. Neither of those are catches. Not sure why this is so hard for them to get right consistently.
  18. Given that’s one of Rodger’s old linemen, got to think this isn’t the first teammate that’s wanted to pancake that weirdo.
  19. Unrelated but interesting “Appleton made his NHL debut on December 1, 2018 against the New Jersey Devils. He recorded an assist on Andrew Copp's goal in the third period.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mason_Appleton
  20. This was simply the case of a high profile standalone game where “the office” saw something that put KC behind and made the call because it was technically correct. The on-field official was put in a bind because now he knows they missed the infraction. Since the next play hasn’t started he has to either 1) ignore that he knows it was a foul by following the rules, or 2) break the rules and use assistance on a play that doesn’t allow assistance. The bet didn’t play a part at all. Bias and opportunity did. Bigger point to this current conversation, bringing up Jaymo’s name is just reckless and inappropriate. That is how baseless rumors start. Please stop.
  21. Decided to grab a ticket and go to this one after work. Hoping for a good one.
  22. I stand behind Branch now. Absolutely cowardly hit by Smith-Scheuster. Then when it’s face-to-face his softness is shown. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1Qdtym4hPr/?mibextid=wwXIfr
  23. I hate the trope about NFL being rigged, but then you see games like this and it’s suddenly not so unbelievable. Flags being thrown well after plays strictly based on the outcome are hard to stomach.
