It's not just trick plays, it's trick plays that actually work. Anyone can call anything a trick play. For example,

I was ridiculously excited about TeSlaa on draft day, and I had never heard of him before he was drafted. Googling him and seeing his 40 time and reading that he was pissing off defenders run blocking in practice at the senior bowl sealed the deal for me. He will probably be a nobody at the end of his career, but who knows.

I came across this on accident. Many of you probably knew this already, but I didn’t and holy crap.

It would cost a lot, but ... I don't know, 24 and 26 year-old elite pass rushers. That would make a bunch of defensive positions better immediately.

I wish baseball allowed teams to have pitchers that can get outs after the 6th inning. Weird rule but whatever.

Imagine if the Tigers had traded Skubal as part of a deal years ago for a reliever. Sometimes you need to trust your own scouting and development. Maybe the other teams were focused on prospects the Tigers have high confidence in. i don’t put much stock in the prospect rankings anymore. Good for letting us know who is who in the minor leagues but they are just subjective evaluations. I would prefer they trade minor leaguers for proven MLB talent, but I have no idea how to evaluate or develop young talent. I do know that this leadership has in all likelihood gotten the Tigers into the playoffs in consecutive years. That’s not something I would have expected a couple years ago.

I think Olson’s issue is blood flow related. There isn’t enough blood in the human body to keep his cheeks that red AND supply oxygen to the shoulder.

My biggest concern is that it appears that this is the sports books doing the outing as a “watchdog” based off of losing bets. They don’t care about the sport at all, just the money they win through this stuff. That’s the real danger. Selective enforcement.
