  1. You don't give up that much value for players with one year of control, it's really that simple. Vlad is absolutely someone Id love the Tigers to acquire, he's a perfect fit for exactly what the current young core needs. But I'm not giving up any top 50 prospect for one year of control.
  2. Mario was like a robot out of broadcasting school. Like you said, he was technically competent, but he had no personality or flair. More like a national broadcaster than a home team broadcaster. He is not somebody to yearn for IMO.
  3. "How to cancel Apple TV+ 1. Go to tv.apple.com. 2. Choose Sign In at the top of the page. If you don't see Sign In, skip this step. 3. Choose the account icon at the top of the page. 4. Choose Settings. 5. Scroll to Subscriptions and choose Manage. 6. Choose Cancel Subscription." They haven't changed it, that's how I cancelled it over a year ago and that's how you cancel it today. That's all you had to do to cancel when you did it as well.
  4. It's actually really easy to cancel Apple TV. Takes all of two minutes.
  5. And interviews with random fans while the game is going on.
  6. Yeah, I could see some intrigue there. But also not really enough to worry about losing him, especially cause he's have to skip AAA. And it's entirely possible he could completely fall on his face just in jumping from AA to AAA
  7. A 24 year striking out nearly 28% in AA is the profile of somebody you'd expected to fall off a cliff and post a 35%+ K rate against MLB pitching.
  8. Entering tonight he had a K rate of 19.2% in 151 PAs since being recalled. And K rate actually stabilizes pretty well with a sample that pick, so the usual small sample caveats don't really apply. He was at a 149 wRC+ before tonight in those 151 PAs, and none of the underlying numbers were really unsustainable. His BABIP was .352, which may not be sustainable over a 3 year period, but can be sustained over a season. So he's probably benefitted from a little batted ball luck, but not too much. Even if you were to regress the BABIP .30 or so points he'd still clear a 140 wRC+. His ISO is around .230 or so and that's completely sustainable. Can obviously swing a bit year to year, but overall you'd expect Meadows to reliably have an ISO of .200+. Meadows will hit for enough power that as long as he maintains a K rate of 20% he'll be a 130+ OPS+ hitter, and that is starting to look like a very promising and realistic outcome.
  9. I like Avila in the booth.
  10. Are those not his current stats on the scoreboard? NVM I see that's just his career stats vs the White Sox.
  11. I mean, he's absolutely not putting up the 175 wRC+ and 10 WAR pace he was. He's still doing great and performing at an all-star level, he's just not the second coming of Willie Mays.
  12. That would likely be more than offset by more people going to the game because they can be back home a lot earlier on a school night.
  13. Probably. Ibanez first step was in, it was catchable.
  14. Once upon a time there was a 35 pitch an inning limit. Not sure if that's still around, but maybe that could be it.
  15. He was hitting .197 with a .725 OPS through the first 33 games too. Gotta be what, a 13+ WAR pace over the next 100 then?
  16. Detroit replay guy gotta be drunk.
  17. I for one welcome Meadows turning into the GOAT.
  18. In his 17 games since coming back he's got a 174 wRC+. That's basically a 10 WAR pace with his defense and base running. If only it was remotely sustainable.
  19. The mic at the plate is so juiced.
  20. I'd assume heavy preference would be given to somebody who hits from the right side.
  21. Yeah Riley Greene is really at risk of being non tendered.
  22. The takeaway is that KC is and has been a fraud all year. They won't win more than 75 games next year despite having an 8+ WAR SS.
  23. You can see the easy power and why he was looked at to be a 40 HR guy. Hopefully they can figure out a way to fix him.
