Jason is a product of the era...pop culture and social media fluent and kind of a non linear thinker. If you are not in tune with that ...I imagine it's annoying. Having been asked by people more than once in conversations "how did you get from point a to point in b mentally" I'm good with it. I think the Petry broadcasts are better because he's more anchored in his approach than Dirks...sometimes Jason, Dirks and Daniela go off into space on some weird observation and it gets annoying

The success rate on elbow surgery is better than shoulders...so at least there's that. He had a stress fracture to his spine last year...those are very hard to recover from. I wonder if that injury created a change in his motion that put more stress on his elbow

Ras and Compher both backslide a bit last year...I would hope putting them with Copp on a 3rd line would maximize their output. Don't think we'll find any takers for them and we have needs on the top six and on D that have to be addressed first. At this point...I would take the 23/24 Ras who scored 13 goals and was a plus 8 on the season. Disappointing output from a 1st rd pick...but...oh well.

SS Javier Osorio is another guy I'm watching...big numbers in his first few games stateside as a 20 year-old in the FCL. Seems to strike out a ton..but things happen when he makes contact

If you don't resign Kane..then you have to get two top six wings from outside the org as I don't think any of the guys in the system are ready for that role

Re sign Kane...add a legit LW for the top line and a top 4 LHD and the outlook looks so much better. Copp/Compher and Ras can play the third line..they were pretty effective in that role in 23/24 and you can put together a 4th line with Danielson as the C
