Even with Bey and Bogdanovic being good shooters, it still feels like our starting lineup lacks shooting because Ivey and Cade are probably going to shoot a low percentage this year.

I think Ivey's defensive issues are more than effort and youth. He really struggles to move laterally.

Even knowing we are bad going into the season, it does not make this any easier to watch. The Pistons have been bad for a long time now. Cade's a second year player and the slow start is frustrating.

I feel like there are very few players who misuse their talent more than Saddiq. He passes up open threes all the time for dribble drives he is just not that good at.

Cade will be the guy in the 4th quarter but Jaden Ivey feels a lot closer to the point guard of this team then Cade. He has an aggressiveness about him early in the games that is much needed.

I didn't realize Banchero had 27 points until looking at the box score after the game. Seemed like a quiet 27. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Orlando's issue right now is their bench. If you are playing Caleb Houstan 22 minutes, you got problems.

Duren was the story tonight for me. Losing Bagley may really expedite his development. You see why many thought he was a top 5 pick when he was in high school. Playing one year at Memphis should not have dropped him to 13 overall. Also, it is noteworthy that Cade had no fouls after picking up two in the first quarter and three turnovers is acceptable also. Only 12 for the team. That is a big reason the Pistons won.

Agree on Ivey. I don't expect him to shoot well from the perimeter this year but it is going to be hard for him not to be a star on offense by year two or three just from his explosiveness. He missed some bunnies tonight he will usually make. The question I have is how much will he commit himself to defense. Is he going to be a star on offense and a liability on defense or will he put the effort in on both ends?

Orlando made the right play I think leaving Stew in that crucial situation and he made them pay.

I was thinking because of the free throw shooting but isn't there some type of rule now you can't foul guys under 2 minutes?

Saddiq needs some of Bogdanovic's confidence.

Just looked up Suggs stats because I didn't think was supposed to be a good shooter and he shot 21% last year on 4 attempts per game.

Even though the offense is lacking and frustrating at times, Cade has had a really nice half on defense.

That was a knock on him coming out of college. Not sure if it is an effort issue or a quickness issue. Obviously, he is lightning in transition so you would think he would have at least decent lateral quickness.

Some nice interior defense by Stewart the last few minutes.

I was pretty hopeful about Stewart developing a three point shot last year that would allow him to be a good starter. If it happens, it happens. But I think we are to the point where he is a better fit as an energy guy off the bench.

Who is Duren out there with? Looks like he is the only one who has a chance of getting a rebound.

So far, pretty much what I expected. I don't think much of Casey and you combine that with youth and mediocre talent and you got trouble. Now would be a good time for Cade to show the aggression that was talked about earlier.

I am pretty pessimistic about this season. Be nice if the Pistons, and Cade, got off to a good start tonight. I am little bit worried the Pistons might have had the #1 pick in a year when the obvious choice ends up not having as much upside as everybody thought.

I enjoy watching Ivey play the point. Just so explosive in the open court when he gets the ball. Actually a little bit like Morant as a player. There is a ton of potential with Ivey and Cade as a backcourt combo.
