    So there were rumors before the Hurley offer that LA would be very interested in Monty if the Pistons let him go. Gores should approach Monty and tell him he is free to negotiate with LA if he wants. Tell him he will pay him the full amount of his contract minus what LA is paying him. Everybody wins. Detroit saves a few bucks and drops a bad coach. Williams still get his full pay and gets to coach a better team in a better city.

    That isn't true. He had nothing to do with Vogel. Zero to do with Ham. And if he was making decisions, Hurley never gets an offer. It is also rumored that the Lakers are Luke warm on JJ because AD doesn't care for him. LeBron does get coaches fired. But other than Lue, he rarely gets involved with the hiring process they way he could.

    JJ was never a lock. The Lakers never even interviewed JJ. The feeling is that Shams was pumping JJ based totally on info provided to him by JJ's agent. Woj has been much better on this. He said JJ is in the mix but LA is starting to bring in other candidates for interviews.

    The only giant move possible would be moving Cade. Stewart and Fontecchio are the only other rotation players.
