  1. The Angels and Athletics will be tough, especially having to travel to California against the A's.
  2. Well, I guess there is always that.
  3. The Tigers did about what I expected. Somebody must like Finnegan because he stayed in high leverage roles for the Nats.
  4. Bert, just came in the mail today. Thinking about going out there next year.
  5. Finnegan has been pretty reliable lately. Early on he had games where he gave up 2, 5, 3 & 3 ER. That'll kill the ERA. It does seem like he gives up a lot of hits and walks though. He seems like he plays with fire a lot.
  6. You'll never hear anything about the guy ever again.
  7. Remember when the FO set up success for the nextvdecade by fleecing the Astros by trading a washed up Verlander for a future perennial CY Young candidate, a future multiple All Star OFer, and a solid catcher? Almost as great as when Avila traded Martinez for those amazing prospects that blossomed into stars. Just trade the minors leaguers. Chances are, no one will ever miss them.
  8. How does a medical staff make guys not have injuries? They aren't wizards. Guys blow their elbows and shoulders out all the time and there is nothing you can do about it.
  9. If he's due for a monster rebound, why would they trade him? Do only fans on a message board have access to this info? They aren't trading Rutschman.
  10. It's always a can't miss prospect and 3 other amazing guys traded for a mlber. Usually ends up as 3 guys who did nothing in the majors and an average dude. Remember how the Marlins fleeced us in the Cabrera trade?
  11. Why would they trade those guys? They aren't going through a rebuild. They have many good players. They should be right in the thick of the playoff race. They should be trying to add a few pieces for next season Firing their manager would be a great start for them.
  12. Too bad they aren't trading Jose Ramirez.
  13. TJ is elbow, but shoulder injury is probably worse.
  14. A bunch of people could claim they COULD of done all sorts of things. That's a terrible reason to put him in the HOF. Well, so and so could have hit 600 hrs, let's just say he did it.
  15. He was also put in by his buddies on the veterans committee. Probably the worst pitcher in modern times to get in there.
  16. Always hit in the minors? Dude is a .254 hitter in the minors with a .245 average in AAA, including .229 in 309 ABs this season. I don't see how that is "always hit in the minors." Ryan Kriedler is a .238 hitter in AAA. It's time people faced the fact that Jace Jung is not a major league hitter and certainly not a major league glove. He is basically organizational depth at this point
  17. I don't understand why everyone thinks teams are liningbup to try to get Jace Jung. Dude couldn't even make the Tigers roster as the 3rd baseman when he was given all sorts of chances and they all but rolled out the red carpet for him even though he sucked in AAA.
  18. Why would the Rangers trade Jacob Degrom? They are 4 games out of the division and tied for the last wild card spot, only 1.5 games out of the first wildcard spot. Doesn't make any sense at all.
  19. I remember when the Tigers traded for Randy Wolf to finish out the season one year, they gave the Jay's $50k
  20. It was $211.36. It cannot play the outfield but was loaded on a pre-paid Visa gift card that can be used at any Little Caesar's locations in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.
  21. So they would need to designate Baez for assignment and basically be done with him. And you want them to keep a guy who can't hit and isn't as good on defense? Sweeney has no future in the big leagues other than possibly a utility guy or the guy who plays in AAA and gets called up when injuries happen.
  22. Barry Bonds had 4 games where he hit 3 home runs and those 12 Homer's accounted for only 15 rbi. Nobody pitched to him with guys on base.
  23. Max Scherzer returns to his Cy Young form today.
  24. Ask Paul Skenes if that's a good thing. He has to put in his years for a franchise that isn't even trying to field a competitive team...kind of like the Tigers from 89 to 05.
