  1. I mean I agree, you may weigh things based on that but the Angels took pitchers in all 20 rounds of 2021 so it isn't completely unheard of.
  2. I personally feel that is part of determining the BPA by taking into account all of the risks/. Also to play devil's advocate if you feel like a college pitcher at 3 is too risky then picking Verlander at 2 was a mistake as well.
  3. Keith in the Top 100 where he belongs
  4. BPA in all rounds. Drafting for position makes less sense in MLB than in other drafts.
  5. Wilmer getting the start for Erie's opening day. I am a little surprised he wasn't pushed to AAA with Olsen.
  6. Tigers get the 2nd most draft capital. Will be interesting to see how Harris and Co go about their first draft. https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-draft-2023-bonus-pools-pick-values?t=mlb-draft-coverage
  7. Baddoo, Meadows, and Lipcius all homer, and Meadows and Baddoo add a two-bagger for good measure. Malloy went 2/2 with 2BB.
  8. I didn't realize Wentz had that kind of movement on the fastball. I mean sure he didn't quite get it in the zone but it sure looks good.
  9. Keith with a good-looking swing first pitch HR.
  10. Honestly, down 0-2 and it got out of there quickly
  11. https://www.mlb.com/prospects/tigers/ New top 30 from MLB - Jobe, Jung, Flores, Keith, Madden are your top 5
  12. Cody Stavenhagen and Evan Petzold are my two.
  13. Here is a really interesting thread on how arbitration is done and how teams and players represent themselves.
  14. Honestly, Olson being in front of Jobe is surprising especially given his probable move to the bullpen.
  15. More Colt Keith coverage https://blogs.fangraphs.com/sunday-notes-approach-altered-tigers-prospect-colt-keith-is-looking-to-loft/
  16. Law came out with his top 20 for the farm, it is interesting but I won't post the whole list because you know paywall and all but the top 6 are Jobe, Jung, Keith, Flores, Meadows, Dylan Smith. He seems to be pretty bullish on Meadows saying he wouldn't be surprised if he makes the top 100 list or gets to the majors this year.
  17. Wasn't really complaining more of an observation that it seemed to be a bit early this year since we haven't even had pitchers and catchers report yet.
  18. He did seem quite bitter basically saying he never got a chance and wants to prove them wrong and I mean Colt Keith is a combo of Conor Mcgregor and Joey Votto so he should be in-line for the ROY at the very least.
  19. The puff pieces are getting an early start, so far the Freep has put out something about Colt Keith, Roberto Campos, Mario Feliciano, Cristin Santana, Diego Rincones, and Trey Wingenter.
  20. I was perusing Keith Law's chat and saw these 3 comments in a row. I think it provides context on how ridiculous fan bases are and how subjective some of the numbers are. I really only enjoy them in the offseason because honestly I can only handle discussion on why we didn't bring up Trayce Thompson for so long. That being said I love that everyone thinks Keith Law hates their team.
