  1. I’m more likely to be shot by some crazy right winger at the grocery store then I am in a “terrorist” attack… which is just code for a Muslim doing something.
  2. The symptoms for omicron are basically a cold. I get a cold usually twice a year. Only once have I had a sinus infection bad enough to go to a doctor. Usually I just guzzle nyquil or booze so I can sleep. Also I can never tell between allergies or a cold. I know I have allergies because my whole life I'd wake up congested and need about 30 minutes to clear it out. And I always have to clear my throat.... I assume from cigars. I will be making an appointment to give blood. Red Cross does antibody checks. I can think of one time in early Oct that made me suspicious but it was also when the weather turned and I had been running and outside in cool damp weather under dressed. Right around when I got my booster as well. I've held back slightly but not much. We had some outings with family and do have a few cousins unvaxxed. Nobody close to us has ever tested positive. Lots of friends and extended family but none of our close family that lives here.
  3. There's a Livonia in upstate NY, near Rochester. My nephew lives around there.
  4. and there's always the chance his negative was wrong.... is he feeling better? good luck. Was it hard to find a test? I'm thinking the rush on tests will die down fast this week as people are done visiting and all that.
  5. the best thing about that account is I often don't see who tweets things and when I read them I think they are legit.... I only look after. that's the bes satire.
  6. the difficult thing is even within each state you have issues... I'm not sure outside of the 30 mile radius from Grand Circus Park in Detroit that it's a blue state. Aside from areas in Flint and urban areas on the west side I bet it's as red as anywhere.
  7. I'm reminded of when George Clooney was leaving ER and his character was moving to Seattle to take a non ER job...... he told Doug Ross "90 grand a year and nobody dies"
  8. this guy is kind of a quack in my opinion but the reporting seems legit:
  9. https://www.si.com/nfl/2020/12/17/fox-producer-who-got-the-nfl-to-jam You guys know I am into jam bands and yesterday people were noticing the bumper music for the Fox NFL games.... and here's a year old article that talks with the producer who is responsible. I think it's great because many of these bands rely on word of mouth and this kind of thing is very exciting and has a direct impact to their quality of life. They tour because now that's the only real way to make a living in the business. I get excited when I hear some of these bands show up in commercials, in movies, etc.
  10. My wife now has to treat some patients in the ER as there's no room in ICU. While down there an 18 year old patient, with covid, was wandering around the halls looking for his grandma who was going to bring him Subway.... without a mask. Staff had to hurry him back into his cubby spot and tell him he can't leave and to keep his mask on.
  11. We already have the proud boys and other Jan 6 terrorists here.
  12. BuT TEXas HAS itS oWn GrID. THEY CaN SURVivE WITHOUt US
  13. That day was like the “grab em by the pussy” thing. So many were horrified and said the right things initially. Then they saw the politics of it and realized enough of their people didn’t care so they fell in line.
  14. Twitter axed MTG And
  15. I didn’t realize that was her. She also played Karen’s mom in Goodfellas.
  16. “Buck Melanoma. Moley Russell’s wart”. I feel fortunate to run with my wife who you all know is medical and we also run with a friend who is a doctor. I joke with them that their job is to check me out for moles”.
  17. Where do you get this utter nonsense? I guess everyone is making it all up. Seriously. It’s impossible to be this stupid.
  18. There was a radio station contestant who died during a water drinking contest. Family sued.
  19. Based on my 91 year old mom… I believe it. My mother in law took care of 2 uncles and they both would not drink water. “Chrissy…. I need to go to the hospital?” “why?” ”I’m lightheaded and kind of dizzy” ”what did you eat and drink today?” ”I had half a muffin and coffee” keep in mind it’s 2 pm and like 90 degrees out.
  20. Sometimes I wish Brandon would make these idiots grovel a little.
  21. I want to see a list of everyone who has died from drinking water.
  22. Yes. “Two more patients died today” is a common thing I hear. Imagine the emotional toll of working with people, taking with them, seeing progress, trying to help, then they die. Every day. To us they are nameless stats. To hospital staffs they are people they interact with all day long.
  23. Yep. Although my wife is a therapist. same drill though. Lots of heavy lifting of patients helping them do therapy etc. Sometimes she comes home and then says “I haven’t peed all day”. She does though get to sit for about 20 minutes to each a lunch she packs. But she’s doing charts when eating.
