  1. I don't have any particular love for Lalonde and coaches are where the hammer always falls first, but this team wouldn't get to cup final under Scotty Bowman. They need better players.
  2. I don't care if he brings in young guys or trades or buys talent on the market - the point is he needs to be making progress a little faster than the Ross Ice Shelf. If they stagnate this year he's going to find himself in danger of comparisons to Al Avila.
  3. HaHa. Ask the Tigers about that one.
  4. Riley finally got his bat on one. He needs the off day.
  5. Not sure why HInch didn't take if off with Bregman shaking hands with Parker. Not that easy for a LHB to bunt to 1st. Especially from 6'5" elevation.
  6. well, just take yourself out of the inning.
  7. He's under control for a while yet.
  8. If you can't hit at least don't make outs!
  9. don''t like Ibanez against Hader. .......
  10. my video has dropped about 30 sec behind....😡
  11. Riley waaaay over swinging. Of all guys I thought the setting wouldn't get to him but it has.
  12. would be nice. But he didn't need K's in particular when he brought Jobe in. If he brings Vest in there early under no leverage that move would be questioned big time.
  13. poor jackson got screwed, he didn't up much but the Tigers couldn't make the plays.
  14. that wasn't that hard a play for Jake, but c'est la vie
  15. There is plenty of nice SINK/DINK housing in the DT area. Whether enough gentrification has occurred to create oases in the school district that will keep people there longer term is a good question.
  16. My head is going to explode - A live read for a gambling site from the PBP booth replete with QR code on the screen in a national game. Societal apocalypse is surely upon us.
  17. Exactly. Nike hasn't
  18. Liberal MSM newspapers really are in a bind because the young are always the future of liberalism, but Newspapers, even the online versions, don't really resonate to any of the cohorts behind the boomers. So the business management side - in this case even old money ownership like Sulzberger, is trying to triangulate to a wider political spectrum. But I don't see how it can help them. 1st because any conservative readers they pick up will be as old or older than the readership that is already too old, and 2nd because sympathy to today's conservative movement is simply incompatible to any organization that thinks its mandate is honest journalism (read as: reporting on the world truthfully).
  19. Brown throwing the high heater as well as anyone today.
  20. Mirror image innings. 2 out, 2 strike steal followed by a K on the next pitch.
  21. well somebody beside Edvinsson better make the team sometime during the season. The Yzerplan has been in progress long enough that the pipeline needs to be getting some players to LCA.
  22. Tork and Greene both need to shorten up - swings are too big right now.
  23. Israel has now absorbed though largely defanged two large attacks by Iran. I find it nearly impossible to believe there won't be consequences delivered in Teheran after this one. I would guess the Israeli War Cabinet is not still debating the 'whether' but only the where. Will they go after the IRG leadership, the Political leadership, the Nuke program?
  24. Michael Jordan and LeBron are old men. More kids are aspiring to be TicToc influencers than being like Mike. The problem with building your brand on culture is that culture changes. Not to mention that there seem to be a lot more complaints about their product quality. For years I bought nothing but Nike because they were one of the only shoes that had sufficient arch for me. But some number of years ago there was a shift, and Nike, among others, started just building flat arch shoes and whatever arch you got came from the removable insole. At that point they had no special appeal and it's been a long time since a bought a pair.
