Agree, Sox had put some good pitches in play. Matt is close - a little more inside/outside command and he can be a staple in the rotation.
So where is the rotation going to finish the season? Manning, Rodriguez, Alexander, Hutchinson and ???
Yeah - velo still good at 85 pitches. Now the question is, do you set down a guy coming off all kinds of shoulder issues or do you push your luck for another inning?
If I am Haase, I'm going to set up more inside/outside for Manning. He's still throwing too much in the middle but that's where Haase is giving him the target on most pitches.
not, but that one was. And he even got the call, which given the Kzone tonight could easily have gone against Giolito on a pitch that close to the corner.
Last thing for Matt is be able to work in/out while staying in the zone. Too many pitches in the middle third even if he is managing to move them up and down.
Wemdelstedts zone is a little offset from where the box is tonight. He gave Carpenter that one but called a ball wide to the on the other side a strike on a Tiger batter earlier.
