  1. LOL - OK. Just because the former could be a matter of opinion but the later would pretty much be a forgone conclusion.
  2. and unfortunately Grossman and Schoop currently have almost no value to move.
  3. yeah - I disagree big time with Jack. In the modern era I don't believe it serves any purpose at all to send a tired, struggling pitcher back out for more. Pitching in this era with all the breaking balls is a physiologically destructive process. I believe that once a guy is at more or less at starters endurance, that he will never develop the ability to 'go deeper' by throwing more competitive pitches under stress. Run, condition, train, whatever to strengthen arm, legs, wind etc., but putting more high stress throws on a tired arm just loses games and degrades arm health. Not to mention this is a kid coming of TJ.
  4. It's like disease that every manager develops once he come to Detroit.
  5. I don't know if they get of out of this, or not, but he gave up 2 runs at Fenway through 4. The pitching is still not really the problem. Edit: LOL, so much for the reliever saving Alex...
  6. Schoop not seeing the ball again. That has to be about the shortest 'pull out of a slump and fall right back in' in recent memory. Barnhart got a good pitch to hit and did nothing with it.
  7. maybe try a 4 seam fastball next time?
  8. Now he gets squeezed. Just what he needs.
  9. is anybody even up? Cordero didn't go to 2nd. Break for us.
  10. He can't locate the FB at all. His breaking balls have decent location but the FB are all cookies. Go figure.
  11. lead off doubles are pretty much automatic runs for most teams.
  12. Faedo needs a little better location when he throws that FB
  13. I liked that Tork didn't give in on that AB after tagging that foul shot.
  14. Is that a question or a statement? DirectTV is a streaming service - I can watch it on anything that has a browser, same as I can Amazon Prime. A Firestick is just an interface for a device that can't talk to the web directly.
  15. you also have the over lay of the transition to maple bats. That also increased the number of hitters that could reach the seats. At some point the ball should have been adjusted just to match the harder bats, or maple could have not been allowed in the first place...
  16. It is more wrapped up in the particular history of Tx.
  17. Hmmm.... Is this one of those cases where if the Dodgers want him we don't want to be trading him?
  18. who do you mean by 'we', the GOP or the citizenry?
  19. I could still do 185 miles in 6 days on a bike, but I started that trip on foot you could just bury me at about Leeds.
  20. I always like the explanation about crypto being the Millennial whiz kids revenge for having missed the tech revolution that made the lucky boomer whiz kids there at its beginnings into billionaires. That from the beginning cyptos were designed primarily as a vehicle to make its launchers rich, any other objectives/functions being secondary.
  21. the only person I've ever met from Kaliningrad was an ethnic German. 🤷‍♂️
  22. Funny thing, if I were to drop my DirectTV to the lowest service level (meaning I would lose Bally) and buy the Bally service separately, my total bill would......wait for it......end up exactly the same.
  23. Cable cutters rejoice. Bally to launch its streaming service next week. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/other/2022/06/20/bally-sports-detroit-launching-subscription-service/7681616001/
