  1. He's included 10 John Does and 10 unknown companies. He literally doesn't know who he is suing. If Donald Trump's existence on this earth were to have one redeeming value, it would be for US courts to finally raise the bar against frivolous law suits.
  2. clue in the NYT Crossword recently; Three letters, "Dropped at Harvard" answer "ARS"
  3. He and the kid who caught Gonzales' fighting it out to win the 4th bermfielder spot.
  4. cases up 100% today (86) in Washtenaw county
  5. interesting observation - and spot on.
  6. Marwin Gonzales with 2 RBI against Del Pozo, despite a perfectly good catch having been made on his fly ball (by a kid on the berm!)
  7. HaHa. Jack just said that Dan Gladden (does radio for the Twins) told him Correa hasn't shown up at the Twins camp yet.
  8. Clemens with a nice swing with men on base but it goes for an out in LF.
  9. I have a pair of wired balanced armature Klipsch which I think were an awesome value/performance get, so when I went wireless I bought some Klipsch T5s (I can't wear 'pods at all, ear canals too small). I wouldn't say I've been disappointed, but they can't quite compare with the wired balanced driver version. But they are comfortable for me and most buds are not.
  10. Miguel with a couple of nice swings today.
  11. Willi is one of those guys who can be a positive player on a bad team, but ends up not doing enough things well to hold a spot as the players around him improve.
  12. LHP/RHP, Victor don't care...
  13. Willi Castro teasing again. Lead-off triple in the 2nd.
  14. Mize mixing FB and off speed very well in the 2nd, Ks the side.
  15. Mize K's Gonzales to open the game.
  16. I have never liked them, but I've taken at least one fall that would have split my head open had I not been wearing it, so I've learned to cope. TBH, if I did my riding on an upright commuter just around the urban-scape I'm not sure I see a lot of risk - but on a road bike on 2 lane county trunk falls tend to be hairy.
  17. This is fast becoming one of those 'be careful what you wish for' situations. Any sane person had to want Russia to fail to take Ukraine, but who believed in that possibility seriously enough to imagine how dangerous it has become to have Putin facing the increasing likelihood of his own extinction. While the possible mechanisms may remain opaque to us, I have no doubt Putin can not outlive an outright defeat of the Russian military in Ukraine. After the early Russian set-backs the talk was all of 'off-ramps', but Putin's brutality against the Ukrainian population keeps closing off possibilities day by day. Putin is basically now Bashar Assad, but without hope of any one to play Russia to his Syria
  18. It's hard to give up on a potential switch hitting bat, almost as hard as imagining W Castro ever getting his game together!
  19. when the quiet part accidentally gets said out loud.
  20. Infection - not flu, no recent surgery. Just by probabilities: Type II diabetes related? MRSA?
  21. sure, there is (Putin removed from the scene), it just isn't very likely...
  22. With the one exception that he has probably talked too much. Stuff like the 'war criminal' rhetoric doesn't help. It's fine if the US does this institutionally, but I don't see any value in Biden himself personalizing the conflict. It just raises the heat with no other clear payoff.
  23. the reality (problem?) now is that whatever cultural affinity there was between Ukraine and Russia, this war has utterly destroyed it. In fact you now not only have 40 million Ukrainians who will never acquiesce to Russian demands again. but for whom the war has created a new confidence that they are a force to be reckoned with in their own right.
