Chicken egg. I'm in FL and not wearing masks because spread is low and the CDC doesn't recommend. Also more ppl in FL are vaxxed than MI. Also, the peak in FL was a lot higher than the current one in MI. The thing goes in like 6 month cycles.

And a Twitter thread from some left wing Podcaster earlier this year courageously talking about his kid who made the call to change gender at 5 (because clearly the kid knows at that point), ending the thread by hawking a book about the topic by his wife. It really did shine a light on what appears to be a cottage industry exploiting people with mental illness to me. Reminds me some about Gluten Free fad. Something like .1% of ppl have Ciliac Disease, but 20% eat gluten free. I have a feeling this is the same thing. Small percentage of people have gender dysmorfia, but others are influenced by social media copycat to do the same. My $0.02. Something seems off.

So it was the dating app Bumble pushing pronouns that got me. It seemed out of place and very virtue signally.

It seems the cycles are roughly six months, and and peaks are dependent upon the vax rate and precautions in the area as well as other factors. Things in Michigan are nowhere near as bad as Florida was in the summer.

I hope we are more than halfway there to the end of this thing. I'm glad it' my life and I am 3 shots in.

I think in the next week or so my county will be out of the CDC substantial spread category... thus no mask mandate. I wear them to the stores, to work (required), etc. My ears are pretty far back, which has made the re-usable masks very uncomfortable so have used mostly disposables out of comfort, and when I ran out and was waiting on my new stash a few weeks back I went maskless for a bit. I don't wear at the gym because... well... I tried and it didn't work. Places like restaurants, bars, etc. I don't either.

Not sure who all follows golf, but there is a tournament in Bermuda this week, which effectively requires a vaccine. They were unable to fill the field and players are dropping like flies. There have been rumblings that many players are antivax...
