  1. Looks like the Athletic laid a bunch of people off today and are going away from single team beats. Even if Cody survives, I have a feeling he'll be picking up coverage on other teams.
  2. Henning's article this morning certainly implied they are keeping Keith down to give him a chance to face teams a second time and prove that he can adjust to their adjustments.
  3. It is worth pointing out that most of the neck muscles connect to the shoulder...
  4. I don't know, but don't say you aren't giving them attention while tweeting out a video of them that gives them attention.
  5. Decided not to give them the attention they desire, but still took the time to snap a pic and post on Twitter because engagement...
  6. Keep Keith down so he can maintain his rookie eligibility next year and be eligible to net a PPI pick if he really takes off in the bigs. He'll be a consensus Top 100 prospect. Also, I haven't looked ahead yet and don't really anticipate any 40 man crunch, but if you foresee one over the offseason, adding Malloy and Keith now could have some implications. This is likely only an issue if you add a bunch of prospects close to the Majors at the deadline. Malloy and Keith don't need to be added until after the 2024 season. Anyways, all we see are the box scores. For all we know he's working on something specific in Erie and will be moved up once that box is checked. There's no rush.
  7. Cruz is hitting well in Erie this year. Dingler hasn't fallen off the map, even if his injury and a Toledo catching logjam stalled him a bit. On the undrafted front, Flores should count. The draft still could be a success, but yeah... Tork will have to turn it around.
  8. If you are expecting Keith to come up to MLB before a cup of coffee in September, don't get your hopes up.
  9. He was handling third until the top 5 outfielders got hurt. That seems to be a plus to me...
  10. Friends bought me just that for my birthday last week. They knew what was up.
  11. Let's go back to the way back machine, all the way back to 2021 when a lot of this alleged activity took place. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/05/us/politics/cia-informants-killed-captured.html
  12. Well, I'm glad Twitter is fact checking stuff like this...
  13. Never said they were the same thing. It is still fund raising off of this, which is icky. Even if the fundraising supposedly goes to causes you support. I don't like fundraising off the legal system here.
  14. because you agree with the policies, it's okay. Got it.
  15. I don't understand this criticism?
  16. Ugh, for @romad1, @microline133, and I and others who aren't allowed near TikTok can we not embed their videos in here? Is there a way to block them?
  17. Oh, I know. I feel for you and everybody there. But it happens all over all the time and doesn't get this kind of attention. That's my only point.
  18. It's not a whataboutism. It's context. World leaders that are murderers: Ping Putin MBS Ortega Swe Kim Jung Un Assad Maduro Kiir Kagame I can keep going... MBS is a terrible person, and a murderer, but he made the mistake of murdering a journalist employed by an American media entity, so a light gets shone.
  19. I'm not defending him, but we know he's a murderer. I would venture to say a good percentage of world leaders are murderers.
  20. Spoken like somebody in the New York bubble! 😄
  21. Different down here. Neighbor's weeds are contagious, and I have had to fight to keep diseases from my next-door neighbor's lawns from invading mine. These southern grasses just die and create so many issues when weeds and insects take over.
  22. Pet peeve #2. The PGA is Professional Golfers Association, generally short for PGA of America. These are club pros, shirt folders, the person you get lessons from. The PGA Tour is the group of touring professionals. Media should know better and not conflate them. PGA is not a proper short hand for PGA Tour.
  23. Pet peeve! When something happens to New York City it gets outweighted media attention. In my almost 15 years in Florida, I've probably had about 30-50 days like this from being downwind of Georgia wildfires. Granted, I'm not always glued to national news, but today seems to be getting a lot more attention.
  24. My understanding is the deal is such that this won't really happen. It is a bit more complex than Olbermann (shock!) Tweeted. Still, Saudi money will be significantly funding Men's Pro Golf now. Hopefully it's not as disgusting as the LIV Propaganda, but they are off to a rough start. Monahan's about face to 9/11 families is as vile as it gets. Also, when it comes to human rights, the State of Florida, where the PGA Tour (Note, for the love of God, the PGA is a different organization) is located, is not executing gay people or poisoning women, but if not for the courts slapping DeSantis around, it is on that slippery slope.
