  1. Nobody hits 450'+ jacks like Neifi lol
  2. Did not do much there lol
  3. It wouldnt be the Democratic Party if it wasn't a circular firing squad lol
  4. Can you detail how Elizabeth Warren would have? Or Bernie? Or another D? The dynamics of the Senate are what they are. They have a 50/50 majority that hinges basically entirely on a Senator sitting in an R 30+ state. They were lucky to even have a 50/50 majority even, it took until the Georgia runoff to get there. I dont like it anymore than you do. But literally the only answer is to elect a big enough majority where you can make these changes. Its an unsatisfying answer, but I dont know what to tell you. I wasn't the one who built this ****ty governmental system we operate in.
  5. This is spot on.... the anti-abortion stance of the party and its legacy followers is in direct conflict with the younger, more hard edged folks attracted because of Democratic "cancel culture" and excesses. (Ie. Barstool/Joe Rogan types) I dont know how much of a difference it makes, but the tension does exist
  6. One of those moments where I love living in Central time lol
  7. They aren't going to have an answer because it's easier to complain. At the end of the day, there's no real answer to this problem that doesn't involve more people voting and voting their values. Oblong hit on it the head, that includes my generation and younger.... we simply do not not show up at high enough levels of attrition, and our elders make our laws for us. It's harsh, but it's the truth.
  8. The dog that caught the car...
  9. The Leader of France, the country that has often been held up as an example by conservatives due to their limits on the practice, responds.
  10. Here come the corporate responses
  11. lol
  12. OK, I'm on the same page with you there
  13. Yeah, I don't see why there's virtue in not being concerned or upset by this ruling. It's gonna have long lasting ramifications.
  14. Boris Johnson, of all people, said that he was appalled by the decision. At a time when even South America and Mexico (comprised of deeply Catholic countries) are easing access restrictions to abortions, we are heading in the other direction.
  15. I actually agree with Bill on this one.... put them on record.
  16. It's not even that there's a lack of solidarity, the majority of the country didn't want this to happen.... it's just that one side of the issue is far more united (and issue driven) than the other. Put another way, there are far more people who vote purely on conservative culture issues than liberal ones. I hate single issue voting as much as the next guy, but that's probably what it takes to actually match or exceed the intensity of the other side of this issue. Sad to say, but it's the reality.
  17. Trust me, I share all the concerns your do.
  18. No thanks. I'll let the circular firing squad resume unabated.
  19. You don't have to play the blame game in order to grieve about the ramifications of this decision.
  20. I don't give a shit what Progressive Twitter is doing. Twitter ain't votes. If the populace is pissed off, they need to vote accordingly.
  21. Well maybe this needs to stop. I don't know what to say, but if people are pissed off about this, they need to look forward and not backward. Looking backward gets you nowhere.
