If the reports about the Rangers interest in Seager/Story are accurate, he's probably another guy waiting to see what happens with Seager

I don't have a problem with Correa doing what he has to do to maximize his value. That's just business. But the Tigers are under no obligation to wait for him if they want to go in a different direction. And if that means going after Baez or Story, so be it. At the end of the day, they'd be a better team with either one of those signings, at a cost which may allow them to make additional adds.

The reporting that Baez will supposedly let the Mets make a final offer has me a bit concerned on his front, although that may be more bluster than fact.

This is what I keep coming back to. Who is the team that's gonna pull the trigger? Not the Astros, who lowballed him in the first place. Not the Rangers, given that they have spent their bullet here. Maybe the Yanks or Dodgers? But if not them, who? He gets the Lindor money if one of the 30 teams wants to give him Lindor money. We probably won't know who it is until it happens
