It's the market they're in. Those areas can't support a $300 million payroll. Those billionaires became billionaires by not losing money on their businesses. And baseball, like other sports, is a money making business. But this is my point, if teams can't compete, they start losing fans and money. Of course, some people have been complaining about players salaries for 100 years or so. A famous Baba Ruth story says he was asked if he knew he made more money the the president. His reply was he had a better year. 😁

All fans care about is the possibility of a championship. And with one team hoarding all the quality players, the possibility of the Pirates or Marlins winning a championship are real close to 0%. Fans will stay away in droves.

People think the tarriffs are going to cripple the auto industry? A heads up, they're going to destroy the entire economy. Perfect time for the rich to buy everything up for pennies on the dollar. 2 classes in America, the ultra-rich and the masses in poverty. So, eat the rich? 😅

I don't agree. MLB wants to grow the sport and make it popular across the whole country. A team going out and buying all the best talent with a $300 million payroll is an unfair advantage. Fans see this and say, why bother going to games, the Dodgers buy all the victories. Their team doesn't have a chance. $150 million payroll? How cute, expensive losers

The Yankees used to be my least favorite team. I never liked them or their fans. But the Dodgers have overtaken them. I hope they ALL pull hamstrings and lose 100 games. Their unfair payroll makes a joke out of MLB. And I still say bean them. Hurt them. Make them....bleed. 😡😡

The problem is playing some of these teams before they know they suck is dangerous. I mean, yeah, the Dodgers are the best team money can buy but the WSox? They're undefeated and more than likely on their way to a 100+ loss season....again. But in the early season, they're not run down by negativity yet.
