  1. And all the games with 100,000 fans at UM stadium. People maskless (mostly) and screaming. Yeah, it's outdoors but that's a lot of people. I don't have any children or grandchildren, so I don't have a horse in that race. But if I did, I would want everyone masked. If not, keep my child at home.
  2. The governor of Virginia lost his first court case WRT face masks in schools; https://www.foxnews.com/politics/virginia-judge-grants-temporary-restraining-order-allowing-mask-mandates-to-remain-in-schools
  3. Last month, my son came home to visit (from Chicago). He couldn't believe all the people walking around the Detroit area with no mask. And he's a healthy 34 year old personal trainer. I was pretty proud that somehow I raised a kid with common sense....😅
  4. Well said. People are wearing cloth masks as a fashion accessory. Mask has to match your belt which has to match your shoes....
  5. I just follow the science. Cloth masks will protect you and stop the spread of the Alpha and Deltra variants. Omnicron, not so much. It's SO contagious, it can enter thru the mask and around any part of the mask that isn't sealed. It's why they call for people to wear N95 masks. Cloth masks are better than no mask but if you really want protection, wear a tight fitting N95. Here's just one link of 100's; https://people.com/health/why-health-experts-recommend-retiring-cloth-masks-in-the-fight-against-omicron/
  6. Should point out its the Omicron variant that cloth masks are useless against. It's so contagious, it can get thru the edges of a non-tight fitting mask. But cloth masks are still useful against the Alpha and Deltra variants.
  7. In some places, you're correct. My son lives in Chicago and told me that some establishments require a vaccine record and masks to be worn for entrance. He said these places were very crowded, people are very eager to go out and have fun again. But they also wanna be safe. So yeah, if you wanna stay home, you can. 😁
  8. I should ad that cloth masks are useless against Omicron. So says the "experts". A tight fitting N-95 mask is what they recommend. But using one for weeks and weeks? I don't agree, they are supposed to be disposable.
  9. I was kinda worried about the vaccine. The last vaccine I had was Shinglix (or some name, for shingles). It was a 2 shot vaccine. The 2nd shot knocked me on my butt for 3 days. Yes, I hear that getting shingles is worse but that vaccine was horrid.
  10. People are done with covid but unfortunately, covid isn't done with people.
  11. That's a bummer. People hear stories like that and decide not to get vaccinated. I'm not sure what I would do if I had a pregnant wife or toddlers at home. TBH, I would worry about getting vaccinated. But then I would worry about not getting vaxxed. I guess I'm glad I'm old....for once...lol
  12. I had my booster and flu shot at the same time and had a rough couple of days. Most people I asked, at the time, never heard of any issues.
  13. Claims he was offered money to lose games. Wow, that would really make the NFL look bad. This guy's coaching career is over.
  14. My son lives in Chicago. On West Addison. Funny story...my son's g-friend has worked with charities for years. She landed a job with the Chicago Cubs, working with their charity programs. Her first day, she got on the elevator and heard someone ask her to hold it. She told the guy the floor she was going to and he said he was also in the meeting. She introduced herself, as did he. Said his name was Ryne. She asked him how long he worked for the Cubs for. He said 20+ years and she was impressed. He then told he his name was Ryne Sandberg and he had played for the Cubs. And...he was in the Hall of Fame. Her response? "Well, that's nice" she got home and told my son and he freaked out. He had to explain to her who Ryne was and what the HOF is. She didn't/doesn't know anything about baseball. She's a Chicago native, too. She said she told Ryne she was embarrassed and he is a really nice guy and he understood. Now...can you imagine your significant other working with AL Kaline and not even knowing who he is? Lmao
  15. That's why I question the need to send tests out. The unvaxxed and unmasked are the ones who need to be tested and they will not only refuse to, but if they somehow do get tested, they will not quarantine for 1 day, let alone 5 days. They....just don't care. About themselves or others. They're still telling people to take zinc and vitamin C to improve their immune system. Like a strong immune system will fight off a novel virus. Idiots.
  16. I guess it wasn't Matthew Stafford's fault the Lions never won a big game.
  17. And Chicago was having trouble scoring...
  18. YouTube won't let you get TNT? That sucks. Turn off the VPN for a couple hours?
  19. How it all started;
  20. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/neil-young-demands-spotify-remove-music-vaccine-disinformation-1290020/
  21. I think I heard the same thing happened to the Chiefs against New England. New England got the ball and scored a TD, ending the Chiefs season without ever getting the ball in OT.
  22. The bottom line is Matthew Stafford is amazing in close games under 2 minutes. And it's time America sees it.
