  1. Only 3 players taken 1st overall since 1999 have won a Super Bowl. So yeah, lose every game for 22 years and we may win one.
  2. I predicted 4 wins so we'll beat Atlanta and Green Bay.
  3. Wow. They said that Lions team lost 7 straight games by single digit margins. Unreal...
  4. Because we've had SO much success by losing and drafting high for the last 60 years? Your high draft choice option has NEVER worked.
  5. Winning covers a lot of blemishes. The Cards really overlooked the Lions, there's no arguing they have a more talented roster. But Campbell has the Lions playing good ball. It wouldn't surprise me if they ended up with 4 wins. Beat an Atlanta team that really isn't very good and maybe Green Bay won't have anything to play for. We should still get a good player drafting in the top 10.
  6. Too bad we didn't sign a couple of receivers during the offseason.
  7. Really good coaching in the 1st half. Great game plan. Players coming through
  8. Actually WCF was loyal to a fault. He kept Russ Thamas as our GM for years after it was obvious his cheapness wasn't going to allow us to win. I shoulda stopped following them once Joe Schmidt walked out on them because Thomas couldn't keep quality players because he didn't want to pay them.
  9. Every off-season, the Lions expect the fans to drink their special blend of Kool-Aid. After a few years of SOL, they change coaches and say "this time it'll be different, we're really going to try". A few more seasons and they fire their GM and say "this time it'll be different". But it's never different, we're losers mostly every season. Meanwhile, with revenue sharing, the Lions value increases at an amazing rate. So win or lose, they're making boatloads of money. But yeah, sure. Campbell and Holmes are the answer. Just like Quinn and Patricia were. Just like.....every coach and GM for the last 64 years. So yeah, many fans are quite cynical. GO RAMS!!
  10. No, being a Lions slappy makes you a Lions slappy.
  11. Yeah, it's like he's working in PR for them. The Lions didn't lose in Denver, they just ended the game too soon. We were on the way to winning...🤣🤣
  12. You said just because they drafted poorly in the past doesn't mean they'll draft poorly in the future. But then you come up with this scenario? OKIE-DOKIE
  13. Meh...you guys argue too much. 😅😅
  14. Typical Twitter tweet;
  15. If you start telling me all about all the hall of famers a team has had, I would ask you how much they won. If you start naming players and I say this one quit, this one demanded a trade and this other one also demanded a trade, I would definitely say that team has serious problems. Yes, those players are/were great but management was so horrible, it brought the whole team down. So while I would say these players had really good stats, I would also say the team stinks for not being able to build around them. Last night, I watched Matthew Stafford throw some very long and accurate passes. Also some shorter passes with just the right touch. I had forgotten how good he really is. 12 years of him and the Lions couldn't win? That's on the organization, not the player. And for many of these players, money is there no matter what team they're on. Yeah, take the Lions money until there's a chance to move on while there's something left in the tank. I just don't feel that we're headed in the right direction, again. Not impressed with Campbell's mistakes, over and over. But just hang on. We have a whole new management team in place. How many times do we have to hear that before we stop believing it?
  16. The Detroit Lions went 0-16 the year before they drafted Matthew Stafford. The Lions went 5-22 in games Stafford missed in his Lions career. The Lions are 1-11-1 since Stafford left for Los Angeles. That is a record of 6-49-1. But yeah Matthew Stafford was the loser.
  17. I agree 100%. I started rooting for the Rams when Stafford went there. And I just shake my head at the idiots who think their draft position will hurt the Lions if they win. Like the Luons will ever draft so well that it will matter.
  18. Loyalty? Or going to the pre-internet days, it was all we had. I've never been a fair weather fan but even you must agree the Lions are really stretching the limits. I'm almost at the point where I feel a rooting interest in the Rams....sad indeed.
  19. You mean Cleveland. Arizona has been in a Super Bowl.
  20. omg....their front office says this same exact thing every single time they fire/hire a new GM or coach. I've been hearing that since I've been following them in the late '60's. No more Kool-aid for this guy. I'll watch but I expect them to lose every single game. Go ahead Lions, prove me wrong. I would love nothing better than to be wrong.
  21. True. You're starting to catch on. I like educating you kids on Lions history, it's SO colorful. 😆
  22. Yes, they were great picks, a bit of no brainer picks. But in the long run, does it matter? Think about this, Green Bay passed on Barry Sanders and took an MSU OT. Was that a bad pick? The world would probably say 99.999% yes. And yet Gteen Bay won a couple of Super Bowls and were also a serious contender most other years. I would trade the Barry years for their success. So players don't matter, stats are for losers. But Championships? That takes some luck, some talent and a ton of hard work. The Lions are 0-3 in those 3 traits. But yeah, come on and call me other vulgar names, it seems to be your only defense in defending the Lions.
  23. Strawman. Give up, you lose. Votes are in and it was a landslide. 😆😆😆
  24. Lazy people usually use vulgarity to hide their shortcomings. And the fact that their argument had no backing. So yeah, call me vulgar names and hide the fact that the Lions are a bad franchise. The very worst. Ever. In history. But come on, defend them some more.
