  1. But it seems like they should be able to purchase a players contract. This guy made 2 more long field goals in his 2nd game. He's going to be kicking for somebody this fall...
  2. Tork struggled last spring...started the season in a slump. Now he struggled this spring and got off to a slow start...spring results sometimes matter.
  3. Nobody said that!! 😁
  4. Some people say that playing in college is a bit like minor league training. Aluminum bats screw up many scouts judgement, IMO.

  6. Whis stats are those? Usually the Free Press is pretty accurate. And I thought I remember hearing he was struggling at the time.
  7. IDK all the reasons. Maybe it's in the players contracts?
  8. It's too bad spring training stats are so meaningless. Many saw him struggling in Florida and just shrugged it off. And here we are....
  9. An article in today's Free Press says it's illegal for teams to contact UFL players. Teams are allowed to contact teams about their players but aren't supposed to directly contact any player.
  10. "Hey, Rockie, watch me pull a win outta my ass"
  11. Agreed. But Vierling made those plays in the bottom of the 8th, allowing the Tigers to come back. Really huge defensive plays, as was Greene's.
  12. How big were those Vierling catches now? Yuge!!
  13. Pittsburgh...uhhh...you blew a winnable game. But...thank you!!
  14. A very weak offense also puts a lot of pressure to be as perfect as possible on the entire pitching staff.
  15. Is pitchability a word?
  16. Very true. Too many players not able to make contact. And too many umpires with different strike zones. Playing with a dead ball may bring back more "small ball" with teams putting more emphasis on making contact and putting the ball in play. It would probably take a generation of players to adjust to it though.
  17. Oops...already posted. But good theories. Instead of a dead ball, how about a bigger strike zone?
  18. JV discussing pitcher injuries;
  19. I know. But I like to complain about the weather...😄
  20. Play baseball in the freezing cold.....what's the worst that could happen?
  21. Call the proper strike zone, even enlarge it. That would even things out a bit.
  22. Yeah, we went thru the Toledo rotation and part of Erie's, too.
  23. Time for a comeback!
