It ended up working out well for the Lions. It was finally called on 4th and 20, turning it into a 4th and 25 on what ended up being the Chiefs last offensive play. If it would have been called earlier, he would have been legal (maybe).
My son saw my fantasy team and asked me "are you sure you have enough Lions?" I have Brown, Gibbs, LaPorta, Montgomery and the Lions Defense. I answered "I passed on Goff". Yeah, I have Mahomes...lol
IDK, Gibbs looks like he's going to get hammered regularly. Gotta keep these guys healthy.
A couple of thoughts....I would like a rematch with KC at a neutral site. Say in....Las Vegas?
We get Seattle next, at a wild loud Ford Field. They beat us last year and took our playoff spot. Payback time...Seadogs.
I agree with this list. As for where these guys were drafted? If they take us to the promised land, I guarantee nobody will be complaining about where they were drafted.
You can't compare the 1970's with the 2020's. Many more playoff teams. MLB created all of these divisions so there would be all these "races" to make the playoffs. By 2030, we may be playing the World Series at Thanksgiving. 🤣
But most impact players want a much longer than 2 year contract. The only players you'll get on a 1 or 2 year deal are players who need to prove they deserve a loooong contract.
And I really dislike this "working the count" philosophy. I've known for 50 years that players have a higher BA with a 2-0 count over an 0-2 count. It's common, basic baseball.
This is very accurate. People are happy with his draft choices? Get back to me in 2 or 3 years. I'm not sure Avila was the problem, it very well may be Chris' cheapness? Well see this off-season with Miggy's $30 million coming off the books. Will Chris just bank that money or invest it in the team? Stay tuned...
