  1. It was Ilitch who extended Miggy. IMO, Avila was horrible. Most of the players he signed or traded for didn't produce. But they played anyway because they had to pay them anyway....but any horrible player he signed or traded for pales in comparison to his biggest blunder, extending Brad when he should have been fired.
  2. Avila didn't reach for any picks. All the players he took were expected to be taken with the draft slot we were in. I think it was Brady Singer or Casey Mize, as an example. But yeah, fire Avila, dump all his picks/trades and start a new rebuild.
  3. Did they announced Miggy got a 3 year extension and will be our new 3rd baseman yet? That would shut up all the Candelario haters. And BTW? Candy signed with the Nationals for something like 5 million. But yeah, we have SO many internal options.../s.
  4. Gotta tear it down and rebuild. Then, in 4 or 5 years, the next GM can do it again. Rinse and repeat.
  5. THE University of Michigan is much, much better than little sister ohio.
  6. An ohio coach can win all his games but then lose to Michigan and end up fired. It's the only game they really need to win.
  7. But for some odd reason, the Vikings are catching all the breaks this season. Ball seems to be bouncing their way. Buffalo fumbled a snap at their own goal line, recovered by Minny for a TD. Late in the 4th quarter too. I don't want to call them lucky...but yeah, they've been lucky.
  8. Between Hard Knocks and the Thanksgiving day game, the entire NFL should see the Lions are back. I don't ever remember feeling this positive after a loss.
  9. Is anyone starting to rethink our need for a QB? With all these draft picks, we could really build some depth. Unless the Goff contract is too high? The guy plays decent with a very good coach calling the plays.
  10. That's what give me hope, huge hope. Just wait til next year. Yeah, we've been saying that for decades but this time we REALLY mean it. 😁😁
  11. No, just no. Not losing in double digits is the goal. A good draft and maybe next season we can start out a bit better and make a run for the playoffs. But if they beat Buffalo? I'll change my mind....🤣🤣
  12. This gets me excited, very excited.
  13. Yes, Goff is pretty accurate on shorter passes. Just get the ball in Williams arms and watch him go go. 😁
  14. Looking past the Lions to the Dallas game on a short week. Big mistake.
  15. My favorite 2 plays today...Giant center doesn't snap the ball and the entire OL jumped. The official had his pick of players to call it on but picked out one player. Picking on him...lol The other play that was funny was late in the game with a huge lead. The Lions dropped every single player in coverage, not rushing anyone. The Giants OL was standing around looking for someone to block..lol
  16. It was amazing how well the Lions stopped Barkley. Good job by the coaching to concentrate on him. But it did allow Jones to have several meaningful runs.
  17. Yeah, I have to agree. While the Lions are playing good, there's no excusing, explaining or defending their history. As a product, the Lions would have been out of business years ago. But success doesn't matter in the NFL. The Lions still made money, stinking up the league.
  18. The heck with high draft choices, I wanna see more wins. Maybe the Rams pick will be higher than our pick? Lol
  19. I have to give Campbell credit, he easily could have lost this team but he has them trending upwards. Pretty disciplined team, not many penalties and they're executing the plays. Impressive win, very impressive.
  20. Giants run for over 300 yards and controls the clock. Giants 24. Lions 10
  21. Can the Lions stop the run today? Chicago ran for over 200 yards.
  22. Twitter stupidity is WAY underrated. Someone asked why they can't play in Buffalo but the Lions can still play in N.Y. Get a map....Buffalo is much closer to Detroit than it is to NYC.
