  1. People who let him get away with criminal behavior are enablers. It has nothing to do with posts on social media. If he wants to run the streets in the middle of the night with loaded weapons, treat him like any other criminal doing the same. But.. "Bro, I play for the Lions" is really NO excuse. Maybe he should be held to higher standards, since he "plays for the Lions"
  2. He was supposed to box out the guy who caught the hail mary TD pass. Can you imagine a MCDC coached player doing this? The entire Chicago coaching staff shoulda been fired;
  3. People making excuses for him are just enabling his immature behavior. This is exactly what leads to much more serious problems.
  4. I don't know the reasons he feels he needs to have any guns around. With his money, he could hire private security. The Lions would probably assist him in that. And of course, all I really hear are rumors. It's hard to know what to believe. Just let it play out, I guess. People on Twitter calling for the Lions to trade or cut him don't know any of the facts either. Pretty stupid, IMO.
  5. TBH, I have no idea what Michigan law says about having a loaded weapon hidden under a seat of a car. Did someone have a CPL? Some said his brother had one. Does that make it legal? IDK but it seems a bit crazy if it turns out to be legal. A lot of assumptions are being made on social media but I'm not sure we've heard the actual true facts.
  6. I saw an interview with Raymond after his huge game. He deflected credit over and over to different squads on the team as well as the coaches. The guy is a true team player. I can see why MCDC loves him.
  7. What Chicago needs more than anything is a decent coaching staff.
  8. Exactly. It makes the trade of future draft pick(s) easier to think about. Say we keep next year's #1 pick? It will probably be a pick in the high 20's or so. Take an edge rusher at that spot and hope he develops into a good to above average rusher. Or just trade that pick, maybe along with another, to get an established edge rusher for this season. Yes, that player would be more expensive and not under team control for as long but we wouldn't have to play the "what if" game. This week in Green Bay may really expose our weak pass rush. It needs to be dealt with and not by practice squad players. We need a legitimate pass rusher (or 2?).
  9. After today; https://www.nfl.com/news/packers-qb-jordan-love-groin-considered-day-to-day-shot-to-play-lions-week-9
  10. Yeah, that's why I said it doesn't make sense. I thought it was a typo. Maybe it meant a 1st round pick and a 3rd rounder that would move up if we made the SB?
  11. That site also has a Miles Garrett rumor to the Lions for major draft stock. I don't see Brad giving up so much but...we'll see; (It doesn't make sense.) Garrett Trade Proposal to Detroit Lions In a proposed trade from Alex Kay of Bleacher Report, the Cleveland Browns would send Garrett to the Detroit Lions for a big package. "Browns would get: 2025 first-round pick, 2026 first-round pick, conditional 2026 third-round pick that would become a 2026 first-round pick if the Lions reach the Super Bowl." https://heavy.com/sports/nfl/cleveland-browns/trade-pitch-garrett-to-detroit-lions/
  12. Smith seems to have a team friendly contract, affordable. At least, if this story is true. It sounds like he wants to play in Detroit. "He signed a two-year, $23.5 million deal this offseason to remain in Cleveland." https://heavy.com/sports/nfl/cleveland-browns/zadarius-smith-trade-lions-imminent-garrett/
  13. Well, whoever it is, I'm going to be excited. Brad has to make a deal, this could be our year....finally!
  14. How about Jeffery Simmons of the Titans? Any thoughts?
  15. This Yankee lineup is so deep...I just can't see them not winning.
  16. Freddie is SO clutch. It's almost....predictable.
  17. Well, the Lions had multiple front offices. For years...they just couldn't ever get it right. Chicago hung onto their coach for some strange reason. He should have been fired at the end of last season, IMO.
  18. With multiple front offices too. It's not like we had the same fools drafting, we had several GMs who just didn't use the early picks we had to properly rebuild our team. Just look at all the QB we drafted...Chuck Long, Andre Ware, Charlie Batch, Joey "blue skies" Harrington...and probably a few I missed. And then the later picks that's been pointed out we missed on and you have the....SOL years (decades.)
  19. Winning 6 to 9 games a season puts teams in that horrible place of not good enough to contend for the SB but also too many wins to get high draft picks. It's painful for teams to trade away talent but getting as many draft picks as they can would help them contend sooner. Of course, they would need to draft wisely, not like Detroit and Cleveland did for SO many years.
  20. This gives me joy...hopefully the Bears miss the playoffs in a tiebreaker...
  21. Washington with a hail mary TD pass to break the Bears hearts. Good job!
  22. I heard it was a groin injury. We'll see...
  23. So...are we rooting for Dallas or SF tonight? I say Dallas...
