  1. Weather update; Chicago has been experiencing Thunderstorms all day long. That field, even it stops, is gonna be a soggy mess. DH tomorrow?
  2. I know it's a small sample size and it really doesn't have any meaning at all, but this is kinda amusing;
  3. Just the eye test, he seems to have a good arm. When he gets to a ball, he usually makes a strong throw. The problem, at least at SS, seems to be his range. IDK if the stats support it but he seems to have limited range at short.
  4. Unless they can find a way to pay back all the money they "borrowed" from the fund, there needs to be something done. Raising the age wouldn't be for older folks now, just for 20 to 30 year olds, 40 years in the future. But cuts may still need to be made, I have no answers. But just raising the income cap is kinda unfair unless they raise the monthly maximum benefit. And that would defeat the purpose.
  5. Tigers could still be the first AL team to 70 wins with a win tomorrow and a Blue Jay loss. But the Brewers are already at 74, they've been on fire.
  6. Will Vest looks like he has anger issues when hes closing a game. Just...vicious.
  7. I wanna see her on the slide tonight please.
  8. Rain delay gigglefest.
  9. So we'll have 2 on, with 2 outs and 2-2 count on Mckinstry no matter when they pick it back up.....cool!
  10. Huge storm headed over Chicago. It's supposed to rain few a few hours
  11. Is there a possibility Tork could lose his HR if the game is postponed or cancelled?
  12. Talking head on TV last night said this Tiger team isn't capable of winning low scoring games. Looking at recent results, that makes sense. But...Baseball.
  13. Life expectancy is a very complicated issue. Back in the day, infant mortality really lowered the average life expectancy. They ended up looking at 21 year olds life expectancy. As infant mortality percent got lower, life expectancy in general grew. And medical advances, of course.
  14. And way she says graduate. It sounds...strange. I hate that commercial.
  15. Off the bat, I thought that last hitter hit a HR.
  16. That picture really is perfect. Right when Dingler is about to knock Greene in with a single.
  17. He sure can/does. Earlier, a WSox player hit what easily coulda been a double to RF. Perez's hustle stopped him at 1st base.
  18. I miss the professionalism of Dan Dickerson on TV. These giggling idiots make it unlistenable. Great catch, Perez!!
  19. I'm seeing threats on social media against him. That's really scary, people think they can't be found and dealt with? It takes a certain type of idiot to post their intentions. Actions speak louder than words.
  20. Baby boomers are a huge voting block. It's a death sentence to any political party that tries to take SS away 100%. There may be a cut in benefits and they may raise the retirement age but they'll never eliminate SS.
  21. But there is a maximum monthly benefit. Raising that would defeat the purpose of making folks keep paying into it. The better solution would to be raise the retirement age. Hugely unpopular, big time. But look at when SS started, the retirement age was 65. And life expectancy? Yeah, in the 60's. https://www.ssa.gov/history/lifeexpect.html Social Security wasn't designed to pay people for 20 to 30 years after retirement. And don't forget, both democrats and Republicans raiding the SS for their pet projects. When they absolutely knew millions of baby boomers would start retiring around 2010 or so. They KNEW and stole the $$ anyway.
  22. Next it will be the disabled. And then the elderly, unless they can buy their way out of it.
  23. Didn't Harris say some of our young tradable talent in the minors would be up here to help us? Doesn't Max Clark play center field? Just sayin'...with Meadows, Vierling and Perez all hurting...maybe the Tigers will surprise us?
