I’m almost at the point where I’d rather look into what we can get for Carpenter. I doubt he’s gonna stay healthy for a full season and once that power starts to slip he’s got no other premium asset
Yeah my thought was more of a pick him up and then dump him if he doesn’t produce once Carp is back, and let the Malloys/Sweeneys etc focus on what they need to improve on in Toledo instead of riding pine in Detroit.
Trey Mancini opted out of his D-Backs minor league deal. Kinda interesting because he was hitting over .300 with a .900 OPS at AAA. I wouldn’t hate the idea of grabbing him as a Carpenter fall back option instead of still having Sweeney on the 26-man right now.
