As for best rookie seasons there are a few that stand out - like Williams, Pujols, DiMaggio, McGwire, Judge, Alonso, FRobby, Walt Dropo, Fred Lynn (and others).....and can't forget Fidrych and Fernando. Kurtz is on pace for a similar year. Could get to 40 HR (and had 16 this year in the minors). He has the look of a stud.

At this time the Tigers have the 8th best record in mlb and even winning the division would play in the wild card round. Steep fall
