  1. I agree......for every Skubal example, there are also Michael Fulmer examples.
  2. That's my take, spot on. Well said.
  3. Brieske's era is up to 6.55. Might be time for him to reset in Toledo
  4. Ah, very low class
  5. What was the tweet about?
  6. Thanks - it happens. Minnesota state DHS got cut 300 million. Many programs will be getting cut. It does suck. Bit I have been in my field 36 years. Already have 2 potential options.
  7. My family visited the Toledo zoo in 1971. Didn't see Klinger. I remember weird stuff like that. And that Al Kaline never hit 30 dingers. And Carew hit .388 in '77. Same year Foster hit .320 with 52 and 149.
  8. Wonder if any pitcher with a 3000 spin rate has avoided TJ for an entire career?
  9. Fugly game today. Updated my resume during the last 2 innings. My job is getting doge'd. That was more pleasant than the last 2 innings
  10. Yep, those days of getting excited to see a .650 ops Gibby wouldn't go along. I remember Shep hyping Castro up, and Gibby intervening and saying an everyday player should have a .750+ ops. Popped Shep's bubble
  11. Lol I've watched that a thousand times over the years. Gotta love Weaver
  12. Not to worry, Meadows is hitting 2 dingers todag
  13. Meadows hits his first dinger today
  14. I hate the Dodgers
  15. Somewhere (maybe Tigers podcast foul territory) mentioned Detroit's team ops is about .650 - 21st in mlb - over that span.
  16. Baltimore, Tampa and even Pitt are all hot right now. 10-8 is probably close
  17. Saw that. Might be the best catch I've ever seen. He might have caught Big Papi's slam in 2013
  18. Had a thought today- the current CBA ends after the 2026 season. Perhaps Skubal will instruct Boras to try and work out a deal with Detroit before FA, for fear of a work stoppage in 2027. That's a bad time to enter FA
  19. That's exactly what I'm thinking - you gave a better analysis. I'm beginning to hope he gets extended
  20. Mr Kaline would have been proud of Carp's footwork and throw. He is improving
  21. Torres seems very relaxed here. His D has been fine. And his patient at-bats are important. If he stays on this course another 60 games, do you start to open extension discussions? I know Detroit has a glut of middle IFs coming up. But with Gleyber you know what he brings, and iirc he is still only 27. Would you go 2/40? 3/54? He might even get 4 yr offers, which I don't see Harris doing. I like him on this team
  22. That's been the Pistons mantra for decades - Detroit vs everyone. However I do think this series win will win over more national media members. I think the other mlb teams know Detroit is for real
  23. Incredible win! Was free game of day on mlb TV, so more folks could see the Tigers are for real. And while he remains below average in the field, Carpenter has made some good strides in right field.
  24. I don't expect Harris to leave any time soon, but what if a major market team throws 15 million per at him - will Illitch match or top? Boston won't be content losing much longer. I could see Illitch matching any offer. Harris has done a very good job. And Harris gets to see what happens in Detroit when its teams are producing. And he has AJ. A lot of reasons to stick around.
  25. His swing is so long - reminds me of Cody Bellinger. Might be prone to prolonged streaks
