Steve Stone tells Harry Caray stories about that. Caray would be going on and on about budweiser, while you could hear the catchers mitt pop pitch after pitch, with no commentary.
In 42 career starts, Skenes' era is 1.95. I'd give up a lot for him, but not what Pitt would require. He'll be a FA entering his age 28 season. The thought of Skubal and Skenes compares to RJohnson and Schilling imho. Would be scary good.
Skenes isn't getting traded because he is under team control for years. The Pirates won't trade him unless a team makes an offer like the one espn proposed. Of course Det would say no! Hence no chance Skenes gets traded this year
Did a quick check - looks like Mize will be up for FA the same time as Skubal. If Mize has back to back very good years the Tigers could be looking at losing the top of their rotation. Just going to enjoy this ride and trust Harris
I put "highly" overrated in quotes for a reason. It's one thing to call a prospect overrated. If you put "highly" in there I would expect some reasoning. Since the AZ Fall league he's hit 25 HR in ~280 at-bats.
And they are planning more lines to the suburbs into the city. A lot of people were upset with Ventura when he pushed for this, but it's definitely a convenient mode of transportation
Yep, Minneapolis has a very good light rail system - that was the brainchild of then Governor Jesse Ventura 25 years ago.
Minneapolis does also have a boatload of parking garages within 6 blocks of the field. All of the government buildings are right there. I used to be able to walk from work. Target is a nice field
