Not only are his medicals iffy, his track record is arguably iffier. He simply is not good consistently, and anyone can see easily that here. I feel as though the clamor to sign Flaherty to years and years for a bazillion dollars is less about actually getting Flaherty in the fold than it is a plea for Harris/Ilitch to do something anything already.

Practically the only players who start significant decline in the early to mid 30s are All-Stars and hall of Famers. Most players' declines start in their late 20s. An even better reason to not trust anyone over 30.

I don't love the idea of disabling X linking on the site because I like seeing those posts show up in these posts. From an aesthetic standpoint, I think it works well, and honestly, the only time I go to X is to find topical posts to link to here. That said, if a move were made to disable it, I wouldn't leave the site over it. (Sorry about that, guys. 😁) I imagine one way around the Bsky linking problem is to take a screenshot of the post, and then embed a link to it under the screenshot, like so:

I think Trump is infantilized at least in part because he is so heavily identified with the MAGA faithful, who are definitely infantilized because of their modest level of their circumstances. IOW, when you hammer Trump, you are by extension hammering the red hats. That’s why they are so snowflakey when it happens. They take it as a personal shot at them.
