I really believe he will do everything he can to get us as close to eliminating vaccinations as he can manage to in this country. He may or may not be able to get them oulawed outright, but if he can’t, he can drive policy to make them so expensive that only the upper 1%—like he and his own family—will be able to comfortably afford them. Getting them removed them from coverage on insurance health plans would go a long way there.

So, essentially, this was a wealth transfer program: Trump’s took the new tariffs he imposed and then transferred the money directly to multinational agribusiness corporations, not to be shared by anyone else in the chain—rather than either leaving the prices where they were and allowing consumers to pay less for farm products, or using the additional tax receipts from tariffs to pay for other government programs. Result: more money out of pocket of consumers going directly into the pockets of agribusiness for the same amount of goods. Slick.

Especially on inflation. Biden will have done all the heavy lifting, Trump will take all the credit, and every red hat will totally forget that they are still paying 25% more for everything than they did in 2020, the very thing they hammered Biden/Harris for.
