  1. Absolutely right. When Christians impose their worldview on politics, they become worldly.
  2. If Evangelicals don’t represent you, then please try not to take offense at criticisms of them, even if they’re referred to by the blanket term “Christians.” It’s almost always the Evangelicals being referred to, which you can probably deduce from context clues.
  3. You know what he is implying, don't you? It is that if any of us complain in any way about the implementation of Project 2025, including with only words, or who knows, maybe even an eyeroll, they may just have to spill our blood. So you'd better allow it. Or else.
  4. Maybe if we all pitch in, we can get you a special movie pass for showings that occur only during Tiger games.
  5. Exactly. We could legitimately have swept both series. Can you imagine what would have happened had we done so? Even MLB Network would have to recognize it. I do have some minor level of confidence that the Foul Territory guys will give over a segment to us.
  6. I'm sure someone will advise Mike Lee that he did not have to out himself in that final post, because he could have simply ignored the fact that the photo wasn't taken today and all of Red Hat Nation would believe until the end of time that it was. In fact, I'm pretty sure they still will believe it, because alternate facts.
  7. "Breaking news: I just came straight from the broom closet to the desk ..."
  8. That's kind of what I was thinking: instead of kvelling about the surging Tigers, who are now essentially a 10-4 team, the nationals like MLB Network and ESPN will be kvetching about the flailing Dodgers, who are essentially a 4-10 team. But it's OK if we stay under the radar for a while longer.
  9. Oh! My! GOD!
  10. Now you got a man on third and no one out! How can you not score this guy! EDIT: You can't NOT! Game TIED!
  11. Man, he managed to get out of this, but I gotta tell you the truth: when I'm thinking I need an instant out, the last guy I think of is Alex Faedo.
  12. Another leadoff man gets on. Maybe we can get this one to score.
  13. Nice crisply-played game by the Tigers. All three runs came in the first, one on an error (the throw by McKinstry), but after that inning, nothing doing by Holton and Maeda. Top of the order in the seventh here, so let's light up the sticks!
  14. Seems like a choice on your part ... 😁
  15. Chipping away! The so-called McStinky avoids the double play and gets the rib.
  16. How about the effort by Maeda today? So far, three innings, no runs, one hit, no walk, five strikeouts. It's a good first step to working his way back into the rotation. Or maybe he has found his new home?
  17. First and second, no out, bottom of the fifth. It's pretty well-known the Dodgers' pitching is their Achilles' heel, and they will make a move to address it, which might put Flaherty in play for them.
  18. But what does the anemometer on your driveway say?
  19. People can talk about why can't we all just get along all they want, but nothing is going to change until government steps in and passes laws and regulations and/or establishes incentives for people to get off social media and get together face to face. Because as things currently stand, we the people are not going to just change our behavior en masse as if by zeitgeist, and the corporations behind the social media apps have no incentive to restrain usership in any meaningful sense.
  20. It's a problem that one side has the vast majority of the guns, and I don't believe they obtained those just to hang them up in the den so they can gaze at them and admire them.
  21. Brieske's BABIP is soaring ...
  22. Is it super windy in Detroit today? Because the Perez drop did not seem like a five-star catch opportunity.
