  1. I know you’re disappointed we let him go, but you’ll just have to get used to the idea that Trayce Thompson is gone for good and he’s never coming back.
  2. This whole team is offensive so far.
  3. It's not just Monroe's homerism which, yes, is bad. But even worse to me is his whole I'm-still-in-the-game schtick: referring to The Guys by their cutesy-poo clubhouse nicknames; acting as a cheerleader and an apologist for The Guys; leaning hard on jock-talk crutches; and, of course, his general lack of actual insight for which he's apparently relying on his memory of what it was like when he was a player on the inside, rather than studying up on the game as an informed outsider. In other words, he comes off like a YouTube or TikTok amateur, not as a broadcast professional.
  4. Time for Garret Hill to get crushed ...
  5. Monroe been showing us what he is for years. Not sure why we'd expect something different. I like Bobby Scales so far.
  6. Where did this Tyler Alexander come from!
  7. Matt Shepard feeling up Craig Monroe's head. So this is what we've been reduced to two games in.
  8. First pitch wild pitch by Wingenter, then gives up a crushed double. Sheesh. What else is on?
  9. Finally, a hard hit grounder gets through for TORK! Once he learns to consistently lift the ball, it's gonna be watch out, world. Then Walls at third allows Miggy's routine grounder to hamstring him. Come on, boys, make 'em pay!
  10. How do you arrive at the constants for the split?
  11. Well, sure. Let the kids play, y'know. 😏
  12. Wow, Turnbull got away with one there ...
  13. Welp, here we go again ... 🙄
  14. Nice job to stop a double down the line by Maton.
  15. What is the formula you are using to regress to 1000 PA?
  16. I think it's a simple case of A.J. putting everybody into games everywhere early in the season to see who sticks where, and also, whether they see the need to get the Express going.
  17. I think you know me well enough by now to get that by referring to it as “the sex thing”, it is not I who is dismissing this as frivolous. I refer to it as that in an ironic sense because so many people, up to and including the staid and even never-Trump Republican establishment, do think of them as frivolous, probably because they are tied to sex, and I think you yourself have seen plenty of that by his apologists. That said, I do think that these charges, the campaign finance violations, do exist well down the scale in terms of severity from the treason charges. Those charges are the big kahunas, those are the charges I want to see stick even more than these, and those are the charges I’m afraid he will end up skating on, perhaps even aided by acquittal or dismissal on these charges.
  18. We can only hope she beats the odds somehow.
  19. I have never understood how a ball that hits off the front of a wall toward the top and bounces back into play can be ruled a home run because of an arbitrarily-placed yellow line.
  20. She is quickly becoming baseball’s national treasure. Even players know who she is and love and respect her.
  21. If we have moved to the point where a sitting congressman publicly espousing secession is not considered an intense opinion, then we have indeed crossed the rubicon.
  22. It’s gotten very dark in here. Stormy Daniels knows how to lighten the mood. She is the Dolly Parton of porn.
  23. I knew, which is why I posted that I was thrilled that Trump won the 2016 Republican nomination, because I envisioned people lining up at the polls at two in the morning eager for their chance to vote against the guy, because I thought for sure everybody knew how over-the-top dangerous he was. Once I started hearing from several others at MTS that my posts about Trump were Alarmist Non-sense, that’s when I started getting concerned about the election. Even the morning of the election, surveys still had Hillary up by double digits or close to it, but once polls started closing at 8pm showing coin-flip states going to Trump and so-called safe blue states still not decided, that’s when I knew it was all over. God, what a nightmare it was to live through all that.
