I am looking forward to the off-season for the Detroit Tigers through the double vision of an elated child on Christmas morning, and of an adult who wants to see his enemies guillotined. If I can experience a little of both as soon as possible, I will be rejoicing.

Toronto for very specific reasons I am keeping to myself.

When I saw him play for the Boise Hawks when he was 17 years old in the NWL - and everyone else on the field was at least four years older - as I recall, he was playing shortstop and over the years with everyone I had ever watched play in the NWL you held your breath when the shortstop went deep and threw to first because it was usually an iffy proposition and he threw right on the button back then. But I think you’re right and he probably knows his limitations better than the rest of us which is why he doesn’t want to be tested at third base.

When I watched the Freddie Freeman in the 18th it looked like almost nobody had left.

Six runs? I must be dreaming, but somehow that seems familiar…

I hope no one took small children to that 18 inning game last night. Good Lord, that would’ve been torture for the kids and what the kids did to the parents by squirming and being bored.

I just watched the Freddie Freeman at bat and in defense of Dodgers fans, there was hardly an empty seat in that ballpark and those fans stuck it out to the very end. Good for them. They represented themselves well.

This only matters if you live in the west can go to an In-N-Out Burger, but I discovered today that although they technically open at 10:30 AM, if you walk in the door at 10 AM, they will serve you. There’s nobody there and there’s no wait. Small victories in a bad world.

Did the stands begin to empty when it got into extras? I know Dodgers fans take a lot of heat for leaving before a game is over - or at least they used to - but the traffic is really bad so I cut them some slack for this.
