when cade grows up he wants to be shai.  come on, cade.  do we need to go back to passive cade?  where is cade from the miami game?

i guess the fact that okc is a much better team than miami plays a role in that, but cade hasnt been looming for his shot all night.  and when he finds it, he's way off.

Cade was more aggressive earlier but he’s missed a lot of shots and the turned the ball over, so maybe he just checked out mentally. Not good, but it happens.

Ausar injury reported as a leg cramp. Phew.

on the other hand, I didn’t like Duren’s lift on that alley-oop attempt.

Based on the box score, the first thing that jumps out at me is Cade's turnovers.  If he were an elite offensive player, I could live with a higher turnover rate.  But I don't think 5, 6, 7 turnovers a game is going to cut it unless he scores closer to 30 points per game and still averages 8 assists.

At least he continues to shoot well from three.

The turnovers are definitely a problem and Cade looked like he thought it was a preseason game today. But, Monty’s not doing him any favors with the spacing in that starting lineup either. He’s getting double and triple teamed and blitzed constantly. It’s frustrating to watch, so it’s got to be even more frustrating for him.

Everyone must be watching the Lions. It’s ok, I’ll hold the fort.

No, I was watching the recording, but didn't get into it until around 8:30-8:45.  I don't always do game threads during live game, certainly not when I am watching on delay.

Team looks like a lot less than the some of its parts so far. I guess that's so not unexpected with sometimes 4 guys on the court that could still be in college but it makes for some unentertaining games.

Yes, we have to keep in mind how young this team is, there's a new coach implementing a new system, their franchise player missed all of last season, and they still need more talent (either through maturation or acquisition).  All of this is going to lead to inconsistencies throughout this season.
