Life could be so advanced in other places that the equivalent of them looking at us could be like us looking at a couple of cells.  They may not have contacted us due to our primitive nature.  It could also mean that anybody looking at us is in fact looking at the past.  They might see an unhinabited earth or even dinosaurs and say "Nah, don't need that. Nothing there for us."

There are probably be some planets like that. My hypothesis is that most other planets with life are anywhere from the primordial ooze to caveman stage.

The blacker and whiter it gets, the closer we get to openly rounding up and disappearing entire groups of people in plain view of everyone else, who will comment about what’s happening before their eyes at their peril.

If hundreds of thousands of ciminals were let into the country, why did the violent crime rate not rise last year?

I understand that there are logistical problems with allowing too many immigrants into the country at the same time, but they are lying about the violent crime wave.

I realize that you guys know that!

“Crooked Joe Biden cooked the books on crime figures.”

See how easy that was?

More jack booted thugs

What alarmed Nicholas Reppucci, head of the Charlottesville Office of the Public Defender, is that the enforcers called in to detain the two men in the city Tuesday morning were wearing plain clothes and did not display badges or arrest warrants.

Somehow merely saying it's "highly alarming" isn't a strong enough response. It sounds borderline mealy-mouthed and punch-pulled.

Full on facism.

Just wear the stupid brown shirts, already. We know who/what you are.

They're putting those aside for the citizen militias. The professionals will still wear camo and flak.

I predicted for years he would campaign on reforming the judiciary. Turns out he didn't need to campaign on that after all.

The adviser, Buria, worked for Austin during the Biden administration as well.

The story says DoD recommends the use of Signal by “highly targeted individual” for personal communication from within the Pentagon, where personal cell phones are not permitted, but that Signal is not intended for transmitting military intelligence. It also said Signal was set up on a computer in his office, which is unusual, and that the computer was a second computer, which is also unusual.

Either way, apparently, Hegseth has no interest in compartmentalizing.

It’s such a splendid black-comedy joke that we’ve been told for decades we need unfettered 2A rights - even unto countenancing repeated mass-casualty shootings - “to protect against tyranny”, and when the real thing comes everyone folds like a lawn chair.

It's even worse: fully one third to one half of the country doesn't even recognize it as tyranny, basically because they are unable to envision how it's going to roll over on them.

Tyranny in this case depends on whose ox is being gored. Tyranny is fine if it happens to people they find don’t align with them.

I wonder if Maga has looked up Russia's gun laws and they realize it will be Trump who takes away their handguns and AR-15s.

It might be just as likely that they get organized into Trump Militias.

It's probably not going to roll over on them unless our economy tanks.
