First and second, no out, bottom of the fifth.

It's pretty well-known the Dodgers' pitching is their Achilles' heel, and they will make a move to address it, which might put Flaherty in play for them.

How about the effort by Maeda today? So far, three innings, no runs, one hit, no walk, five strikeouts. It's a good first step to working his way back into the rotation. Or maybe he has found his new home?

Velade can hit a bit. I like that. Maybe I'll even learn to spell his name.

Seems like a choice on your part ... 😁

Nice crisply-played game by the Tigers. All three runs came in the first, one on an error (the throw by McKinstry), but after that inning, nothing doing by Holton and Maeda. Top of the order in the seventh here, so let's light up the sticks!

Standing O for Maeda. Nice. Best fans in baseball. We deserve a winner. Get er done Harris/junior.

Every Tiger fan, as well as our manager, knows we'll be really needing Maeda to be effective once we trade Flaherty.

Man, he managed to get out of this, but I gotta tell you the truth: when I'm thinking I need an instant out, the last guy I think of is Alex Faedo.
