Given how the Angels like to fast track their guys in the minors and they just picked ... the Angels do play Eli Willits before the end of the year... The Nationals drafted Willets, FYI. Sorry, I ain't edman chas and I know you don't like seeing my posts... just a friendly fyi. The Angels drafted 21 y.o. college arm Tyler Bremner. Who could be a fast riser into MLB, possibly even this year based on Angels... Quote

Then each year he is sent to the minors, he is burning an option. Plus it starts his service time clock for arbitration/FA. So basically no way they do it just for PR. @Edman85? 1 Quote

Running out of options as early as their age 21 or 22 season depending on when they are sent up and down, not to mention tying down a scarce 40 man spot. Quote
Tenacious D Posted yesterday at 03:48 PM Posted yesterday at 03:48 PM It would make zero sense to promote a player who was not ready. Unless Bill Veeck owns the team. Quote

monkeytargets39 Posted yesterday at 06:10 PM Posted yesterday at 06:10 PM I have zero issue with drafting a slew of pitchers so far this year. We definitely could use some new blood in that area of our system. Getting guys who command the zone and throw strikes is fine- work on velocity and other stuff as they develop Quote

Picked guys with great stuff/velocity who need their command refined. Quote
