If every Democrat in Congress started trolling the same way, I'm betting Trump would stroke out.  Absolutely hilarious how mad the right is over the trolling coming from this account.

Gavin has been hilarious all week.  I hate the idea off what he’s calling for in California to combat Texas, but it’s clear his gloves are off and he’s willing to fight any style Trump wants to go with.

What pissed me off was when he said: "liberals already ruined the country".  I am aware that law enforcement tends to be heavily biased in favor of the right, but they can't be expressing that as they do their jobs.  That entire arrest should be voided due to bias.  Of course, in today's world, he wil commended instead of reprimanded.

I’m old enough to remember when Trumpublicans complained about hundreds upon hundreds of paper ballots being dumped in county precincts. Calling them fraudulent.

Gavin Newsome (or his team) are going to have a field day with this.

As much as people talk about COVID, but one thing that impacted the 2020 election (and perhaps a reason he lost) was that he spend SO much time trashing mail voting. And suppressing GOP votes. And the GOP, understanding that they were the ones that invented the practice and until recent years tended to put elections on ice utilizing it, managed to get him to shut his pie hole about it in 2024 (an election he managed to win)

Also, the "states as an agent of the Feds" line is rich.... I don't ever want to hear about "small government conservatism" ever again from anyone representing this movement.

The guy is in the country illegally, was ordered deported last year, has missed several court dates and has active warrants.    Just to clarify, you're upset by the comments from the officer and not the fact that this dude was arrested, correct?

I hate to say it because I know many here read them and post about them but the folks from places like Bulwark aren't really accomplishing anything.  I'm not suggesting they have a job to do to elect democrats but their readers and viewers have to realize that just talking about things in a way that's framed from a pre trump world will not reach the required people to the degree to win elections.   I'm talking about sunday talk shows, nightly talk shows, etc.   We can preach all we want about how horrible he is and his admin is but you need a D congress to begin to attack it. As long as they rubber stamp his ideas then they will become laws.

The game plan different now.  The scoring system is different.  It's cricket vs baseball.

I will only push back a little bit and say that The Bulwark has done a really good job of hiring actual reporters (ie. Sam Stein, Jonathan Cohn on the health care issues, Adrian Carrasquillo on Latino issues, etc.) that do actual journalism as well as (if not better) than mainstream publications. It's not all just "resist lib takes"

The rest of it is a mixed bag to me. Tim Miller doesn't bother me and is at least self-aware about his reach, but some of the other folks (particularly Jonathan V. Last) are kinda worthless to me. They don't accomplish anything and, if anything, their doomerism about everything is perhaps counterproductive even.

It should upset everyone that masked people can get away with just snatching people off the street.  It should be very clear to everyone who's around who they are and what their official business is.  This is not a police state.

Watching that video, that level of force on an unarmed food delivery driver is completely outrageous.

Doesn't matter whether they are here illegally or not, that interaction did not need to happen that way and the fact that it did is 100% the responsibility of the agents involved and of this administration. They deserve every bit of criticism they are getting for it.

To be frank... unless his warrants are for serious felonies, this is a waste of government resources in the extreme.  I'd rather the be used for a range of other activities than this made up concern troll about this person being a problem for the purity of our american essence.

So watching the video, all of them are wearing a vest that says "police" and I can see at least one with a badge showing on their waistband.  I'm going to assume the others had their badges displayed as I've seen plenty of other videos where that is the case.

I keep hearing this same talking point from people and have no idea what it actually means.  What are you expecting here, the police to be wearing a uniform resembling the Michigan State Police?

Yes.

I go on etsy and order a vest that says "POLICE" on it.

The whole idea is to create paper fraud and prevent electronic accountability.

You can also go on the internet and buy a police uniform and police car, no idea what your point is.

Until you provide links, we can only conclude you're just making this all up

Much rather that than a bunch of Michigan Militia (not really an official militia) guys running around pretending to be cops.
What if a group like these guys decide they're going to enforce speeding laws and pulls you over on I-75 for speeding, No uniform, possibly fake badge, wearing a mask?

I'm more concerned about these asshole's thug tactics.

This. Setting aside the moral questions, of which there are many, 4+ federal officers beating the **** out of an unarmed delivery driver is absolutely a tremendous waste of resources.

If I was trying to defend the actions, I'd probably focus on their attire too, because the actual video and the outrage it generated shouldn't be surprising in the least.

So, straight to the Trump playbook?

How very ironic that you use the same tactics as the other side.
