They didn't beat the guy unconscious or shoot him so it seems there was "some level of restraint".  Are you just mad about the liberal comment so now you're going to nitpick every detail about this case?

Question for you, should this guy that was arrested be removed from the country?

I was the one upset about the liberal comment and it is a big deal.  Law enforcement is supposed be impartial as they do their work.

See, now I know you're just not even the least bit interested in the facts.  If you were, you would know all about the doxxin going on and wouldn't be pulling a Trump saying it's fake news.

Here is just one of many websites set up to doxx federal law enforcement.

https://icelist.is/

It's worth noting that said website would likely not exist if, like normal law enforcement officers, they would wear their name and show their faces.

The "doxxing" thing is an excuse to refuse any sort of accountability.

where are the body cameras for these ICE goons to ensure they are following procedure like in regular police/civilian interactions?

This is very true.   The motorcade my wife saw with 40 vehicles and an ambulance last night near Reston was likely one of the big European countries (Germany, France, UK) rushing to stop a modern day Munich happening in the White House.

Great question.... at this point, with this administration in charge, it's pretty clear that ICE is an organization that is an opaque organization that feels that it is above any sort of accountability.

Gee, no wonder it's actions are unpopular and the American public increasingly dislikes it.

nor can they be any oversight of this agency because only Trump's rule matters.  I mean, we know they are in process of trashing all independent audit agencies.  the GOP congress will be a rubber stamp.

Hey, glad to see you're replying to me now!

I like the way you gratuitously insult me when providing that link. Nice touch. Very modern. But despite that this website exists—the provenance of which I am unclear—I still have not seen any independent source reporting that there is doxxing of ICE agents happening. If you happen to know of any links to such independent reporting and could share that, that would be swell.

And while you're at it, can you share any links that would provide evidence to this claim?

The guy is in the country illegally, was ordered deported last year, has missed several court dates and has active warrants.

Thank you for your attention to this matter!

See, this is why i don't bother posting proof.  Even after you get shown proof, you say it's not good enough and suggest it might be faked.

If ICE officers cannot put their names on their uniforms and wear masks to conceal their identity.... and are under the control of an administration that clearly has no interest in transparency.... what forms of accountability does the agency (or those working for the agency) have exactly?

You'd think that eventually they would have due process to air these complaints to a judge at a hearing but plenty of examples of people being sent to internment camps in the US and outside the US without that.

The legal system is maybe the one avenue for sure, but your latter point demonstrates that it isn't a failsafe by any means.

Why is 100% of your attention on the officers and 0% of it on the person in the country illegally?

How the Jeffrey Epstein files have turned Donald Trump's base against him

Quote

Maria claims Epstein summoned her to the office, where she first met Trump. She says after she arrived, Trump walked in and looked at her with a "Cheshire grin", to which she made the "ugliest face" she could think of.

Maria claims Epstein "thought it was adorable". He then, according to Maria, told Trump "she's not here for you," and took him out of the room.

"So he escorts Trump into this other room and Trump utters under his breath, he mutters, "Oh, I thought she was 16," and I thought that was just really weird," she told 60 Minutes.

"It was beyond locker room talk."

Maria says she reported Epstein and his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell to the FBI in 1996 and mentioned Donald Trump as someone who associated with the pair, but says authorities did nothing. She is now suing the US government for failing to protect her.

The White House contested Maria's version of events and said Trump 'was never' in Epstein's office.

I must have missed the part in the Constitution where it says you can't arrest an illegal with warrants.

I think you might find this interesting reading when your not feeding rodents

Quote

ICE admitted in court that it considers even people whose charges were dismissed to still be a “criminal” for purposes of removal, and many immigrantswith pending charges are never convicted. For instance, ICE terminated the legal status of international student Suguru Onda for a dismissed fishing-related citation. The same thing happened to Akshar Patel, another international student, with a dismissed reckless driving charge. When ICE deports people without giving them their day in court, it not only deprives them of their right to clear their name but also denies justice to victims if they are guilty.

Regardless, ICE also hasn’t listed what the charges are for, and we know that it is slapping thousands of “illegal entry” charges on long-time residents to brand them as criminals and force California and other states to help deport them.

Nonetheless, focusing on people without pending charges or convictions, the difference in policy is indescribable. ICE doesn’t separately report the criminal status of book-in specifically from ICE arrests. But ICE’s public numbers on its currently detained population reveal a ninefold increase in immigrants being arrested by ICE and locked up by ICE for no other reason than their immigration status.
