For some reason I thought if the GOP got their way, healthcare premiums wouldn't go up until 2027, after the mid terms.  But just read something today indicating they would go up this upcoming year.

As such, maybe just capitulate on the budget.  Tell supporters that elections matter and they simply don't have the votes and keeping the government shutdown is only going to hurt more people and not change anything.  Maybe demand something unrelated to the budget, like the video/audio of Homan and the Epstein files.  Even if you cave on that demand, it will only intensify the scrutiny.    Plus the optics on the GOP, extending a shutdown because they refuse to release information which they claim clearly shows no criminal action.... seems like an easy thing to produce if everything is on the up and up.

Then heading into the mid-terms you have a tangible item you can point to on healthcare costs which is going to hurt both sides of the aisle.

She basically just responded with ad homs without responding. Wouldn’t expect anything less.

Kind of like a couple posters here. I get better responses from my 10 year old Puggle

We just got our guide at work that has a bunch of news on our upcoming enrollment. Usually they have our premiums cost by now, but it has nothing on that yet. It does have new surcharges though for if your spouse can get health care through their job, and assertations for smokers (this is new for us). The fact that they haven’t shared premiums yet doesn’t look like a good sign.

Just like flase arson claims that I was suppose to answer for...... Leave puggles out of it, they are too sweet for the political forum. I have a male Pug Ernie and female LuLu (in homage to Ernie and LuLu Harwell).

Trump is a very impatient, and thus weakens as a negotiator as things drag out. I am willing to bet he will give the Dems health care if they hold out. All the sturm and drang at the front end of his tactics is expressly because he wants things over quickly. He doesn't like to have to hold out for what he wants.

Plus he's likely to die soon enough from whatever it is they are doing to his hand.   Or, the syphilis.

Republican President of the United States George WMD. Bush literally lied about his entire military career and no-showed a portion of his service. Let's not forget about Republican Representative Ronny Jackson from Texas. Why do right wingers lie so much about their service?

W WAS an actual F-102 fighter pilot! Jackson WAS a Admiral. Blumenthal lied and said he served in Vietnam but was never out of country only in reserves in the rear with the gear. Same with Timmy.......

DunyaMD missed entire months of training to work on a Senate campaign. Furthermore, Bush signed up for a 6 year service agreement that required him to complete 48 scheduled inactive-duty training periods every year. He did not complete his full 6 years of service, nor all his required trainings.

I wouldn't ever compare Trump to W's military service.   That puts draft dodger next to a person who flew fighter planes.   Al Gore was supposed to have had a guardian angel Vietnam tour where the Army had him in the safest possible postings because of his daddy.  That crap was going on all over the place.   When Barron Trump is subject to the draft when they start drafting for the ICE Army, you will see it again.

We are talking about stolen valor. Blumenthal never served in combat like he claimed to help himself get elected. I just watched my Dad die a horrible death in a combination of prostate cancer and Parkinsons directly linked to his exposure to agent orange during his two tours in Vietnam. He also got spit on at the Detroit airport when he came home so spare me the outcry on a former president.

Is Blumenthal running for anything anyone here is voting for? What do I care what he did? Or what Dubya did or didn't do - his last election was 20 yrs ago. The guys in the present tense are all bad enough. We haven't actually had a combat vet in the WH since GHWB and most of the country wasn't even born then. And the one combat vet who has run since then had a couple of slightly loose screws (John "I'm suspending my Campaign and Sarah Palin is a great pick" McCain) And we've had two guys that ducked service completely since. Let's stipulate a lot of jerks have been elected, that military service doesn't necessarily improve a president anyway,  and then maybe resolve to do better?

I agree, which is why the Dems need to fold immediately and not give him the chance.  I am already seeing signs from some of my MAGA friends that of course there would be some struggles in the economy, of course there is going to be a little pain before the true Trump economy gets rolling.  All of this despite the last 6 months of the economy being the best ever and bragging about any company that says they are investing money in a new factory which proved more MAGA winning.  It's a cult, so they will bend to whatever dear leader says, but at some point, continued high prices on food and now large increases in healthcare would be tangible items Dems could use in the mid-terms.

Speaking of facts and avatars, this happened for a fact.

I've never been very conversant in tag font- is that supposed to say something or is it just random defacement?
