Deleterious Posted October 14 Author Posted October 14 Someone needs to leak that governance packet. As Big Ten inches toward $2.4B private equity deal, a resistance has formed that may delay or nix the project entirely Quote

As Big Ten inches toward $2.4B private equity deal, a resistance has formed that may delay or nix the project entirely Hilarious that the people pushing this apparently claim the Regents at UM can't kill UM's participation. They apparently haven't read the Michigan Constitution. The UM Regents are not advisory, they are controlling. Not to mention there isn't one chance in 10,000 that Grasso would even think of trying to vote in contradiction to any Regents' guidance. To get UM, they need the BoR. Deleterious Posted October 16 Author Posted October 16 Sounds like Billy Napier will be fired on Sunday. Florida has a bye next weekend and they wanted to wait and give the interim coach an extra week after he takes over. Quote
Deleterious Posted October 16 Author Posted October 16 Make $11 million per year, still spell your name wrong. Quote
buddha Posted October 16 Posted October 16 so michigan and usc reportedly stand alone in opposing the private equity deal. surprised that osu isnt with them. psu could probably use the money to buy a new coach and pay off the old one. so is michigan finally getting their revenge on tony pettiti for his conor stallions actions? lol. Motor City Sonics Posted October 16 Posted October 16 So, Michael Lombardi is going on some "exploratory fundraising trip" to Saudi Arabia. Um, no. NCAA and ACC needs to put a stop to that. Now. College football is a bigger cesspool than FIFA. I am enjoying watching Belichick fail because he is and always was a cheating fraud. It will come out one day that the visiting team's communications were being spied on by the Patriots. Remember, he got caught cheating against the Bengals when the Bengals were something like 1-11. If he did if for a 1-11 team, he's doing it for all the teams. Quote

Not because he is interim per se, but it another reason he's even less likely to get crosswise with the Regents. But because at UM the Regent are a governing board. They get the last word on anything they decide they want the last word on. The Prez is a direct report to them. Edited October 17 by gehringer_2 Quote
