In a perfect world it would be nice to give jace Jung 100 AB audition space, but that's going to be hard to do if he can't show at least a little more.

Win tomorrow and it’ll make it a 4–3 road trip thus far. Then going to Colorado where we are bound to win at least two games for a 6–4 road trip. Oh my heck, that’s pretty darn good.

Those last two wins were addictively transcendent. I imagine this is what Keith Richards feels when he runs out of heroin and even the methadone clinic is closed late at night.

I was watching Colorado and they have a young pitcher who has amazing movement on his pitches. I <think> it was Dollander. He doesn't have great stats but he looked pretty tough to hit.

Ibenez, McKinstry and Javy can all play 3rd base after Meadows gets back. Jung's days are numbered unless he starts hitting better.

They’re going to give Jung a lot of room to get better, just like they gave Tork, just like they have “McStinky”, just like they gave Javy. They know something is in there and they’re trying to unlock it. It’s not costing us any Octobers so far.

True, but there is still a big difference between hitting between 201/266/330 (Tork when they pulled the plug last season) and 107/286/107 (Jung now). I agree they want to give him more run, but I don't think they will/can for very long unless he can get a little further from a 2 digit BA. Hard to see what you even gain from the ABs if you are getting the bat on the ball that seldom. As it stands, I think he goes when Vierling is back, but Malloy is doing a good job of cratering also, so he could certainly still win the race down I-75.

It's possible we get 3 players back, Vierling, Meadows and Cobb. And maybe Perez. So yeah, Malloy and Jung both may be gone. Perez to Toledo. But who goes when Cobb returns? And will he be starting? I guess we need to limit Jobe, he could take a few of his starts. All very nice problems to have. Get these guys healthy and really take off...

There's also a big difference between 230 plate appearances Tork got before they pulled the plug last season and the 35 plate appearances Jung has gotten so far.

You may be right that Jung goes down when Vierling comes back.

Tork also had hit 30 dingers the year before, which is a good reason to give him some rope.
