buddha Posted June 24 Posted June 24 i would deal cossa in a minute if it could help land a difference maker in his 20s. augustine too. although i would have more qualms about dealing augustine than cossa. i would deal larkin too. but he has a no trade provision in his contract so its really too late. last year larkin/raymond's production tanked after copp got hurt and they moved kasper to the second line. in the time they needed larkin the most, he was not at his best. wasnt bad. wasnt awful. but didnt carry the team. in a surprising and welcome development: marko kasper was their best player at the end of the year. My pet theory was he went to the Worlds, got a taste of what playing with a team full of talented players was like and just couldn't overcome the depression of being back in the Wings locker room..... Mr.TaterSalad Posted June 25 Posted June 25 (edited) Wings released their centennial logo. I went and did some research online about this. From the research I did Meijer was not around 100 years ago. Also, looking back on the old school Red Wings logos, the Meijer lettering wasn't apart of this. Yeah, I do not like this as a pure salary dump. Copp is a solid player, even if we don’t like the contract. But the rebuild could use a little more juice. Copp for a 1 and retention of salary would be a no brainer. Quote

This would be the dream, but I don't think anyone wants Compher unless he has a big bounce back year this season and shows he isn't trending down. I guess you could do a pure cap dump and attach a pick but might as well just run him on line four at that point.
