slothfacekilla Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 The wild have a much better record than I expected them to have. It will be nice to see Karpizov play. Quote
slothfacekilla Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 Both Smiths are supposed to play Quote
slothfacekilla Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 (edited) Larkin from Seider makes it 1-0 then Lindstrom buries his first of the season to make it 2-0! Edit: Lindstrom's first of his career! Edited February 15, 2022 by slothfacekilla Quote
slothfacekilla Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 2-1 missed the Wild goal, I actually didn't see Larkin's goal either work is busy today Quote
slothfacekilla Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Power play goal for the Wild ties it up, seemed like a soft-ish call on Staal but the Wild were able to run a tip play way too easily there Quote
buddha Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 they were up 2-0 but being outplayed. and then sure enough, now its 2-2. Quote
Hongbit Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Boldly is another one of these USNDT kids with a boatload of talent. Really like his game. Quote
buddha Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 come on staal. this game is very frustrating how we cant get anything going on the power play and every time they throw the puck at the net it gets tipped in for a goal. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Home Ice Advantage is a very real thing for this year's Red Wings. Quote
lordstanley Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Not dead yet. 5-4 with just under 2 minutes to go. Quote

I have a hard time seeing how he wouldn't be a Calder front runner based on his overall impact. I don't know enough of the league to speak on Norris stuff though, it looks like 7 guys have 40+ points already so it could be tough for him as a rookie. Quote

buddha Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 he wont be in the norris conversation this year but he should be the calder winner. i have a feeling it will be zegras because he 1) is having a good season; and 2) scores goals and makes highlight reel plays. but it should absolutely be seider. he's a top defenseman as a rookie, plays on the pk, pp, and against the other teams best every night. he's a rock. and he's getting better as the year has gone on. raymond has fallen off a bit (and it hurts him to not have bert up there every night getting pucks for him and screening goalies), but seider is actually improving as the year goes on. he's taking the puck up the ice more now, he's getting more physical in defense, and he's shooting more. he's the real deal. if this holds up he could be - dare i say - on the lidstrom path? maybe more chris pronger with better wheels? Of course that is partly because Larkin has been on fire the last dozen games also. I'd like to see Vrana anchor the 2nd line when he come back so they can put Bertuzzi back with Larkin - they are such perfectly complimentary players - Larkin on open ice, Bertuzzi in traffic. Quote

My memory could be wrong but I seem to recall a funny incident in the playoffs where Pronger had Yzerman lined up but Yzerman ducked the check and Chris ended up almost knocking himself out of the game. sagnam Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 Yzerman had the bum knee that year but he took Pronger out. Pretty sure Pronger needed up with a knee injury. Quote

I would like to see Vrana on a line with Zadina, they supposedly have chemistry in international events. Also Zadina needs to hire Vrana's skating coach, if I see him do the useless non-stride stride/back kick (I don't even know how to explain it but I did it a lot when I played haha) one more time I'm going to lose my mind. Shinzaki Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 For me...that PK sequence Mo had against the Flyers was every bit as spectacular as anything Zegras has done. He toyed with them for what...30 seconds? Quote
