RandyMarsh Posted June 11 Posted June 11 (edited) I had to go look it up cause it "seemed" to me like so many of the Tigers HRs given up were on the 1st pitch of the at bat and it turns out that is the 17th time out of 65 HRs this year where that happened. Have no idea how that percentage relates to league average but not as high of number as it felt like to me. Edit: So went and looked and 450 of the roughly 2100 HRs this year have been on the first pitch so percentage wise the Tigers are a little higher but nothing crazy. Edited June 11 by RandyMarsh Quote

IdahoBert Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Seeing Cal Ripken in the crowd and it makes me wonder why all these old ball players gain weight. As I’ve got older I’ve lost weight. Quote

Well when your pitchers attack the strike zone, that’s more likely to happen. That’s been the only bit of success anyone has had against Skubal Quote
Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted June 11 Posted June 11 I sure hope the Tigers can score some runs in this game. seems like every time I look at the TV it's the Orioles batting. Quote
