Finally had a chance to check on game and saw we had a Bert, and by that he time I signed in it’s a Bert+1.  Very pleased , as soft tossers like Ober always make me nervous, regardless of recent hitability. Plus Mize with the QS.  A nice Saturday for a change.

As per Statcast, his hardest throw last season was 82 mph, he already has one this season at 87 (which I assume was probably the long throw last night). If he can hit 87 with any kind of regularity he'll be passable at 3rd and maybe he'll improve on that yet.

I have no recollection of Juan Acevedo. Shows how much I had drifted away from following the Tigers closely prior to 2006.
