checked swing, called out by the 3B ump. tossed his helmet and walked down the line towards the ump, waving his arms and everything.

I'd argue Flaherty earned it
He had about 90 pitches was pitching a shut out
Send him out until HE lets a runner get on base

Good save of the run by Torkelson at least. Knowing when to give up on the out and get off the base to stop the ball is one of those things it can take a while for a 1b to get good at.
