And Cy Young pitching for Cleveland. No-hitting the Mets through 6.

I turned it on. I can't watch much more of the inept Tigers. Everybody, and I mean everybody, knew our pitching was our big weakness so Harris scrapped the bottom of the barrel looking for other teams rejects. But we have a dozen prospects that <may> help us win a few games in 2027 or 2028. If ever, most prospects never make it.

The Tigers are reminding me of 2006 when they unexpectedly got off to a great start and built up a great lead as everything went right.  Then they faded late in the season and failed to win the title.  This year their fade started earlier and not winning the title could mean no playoffs.

Do they deserve the playoffs, the way they're playing? The season is a marathon, not a sprint. And our pitching ran out of gas about a month ago.

Yes, plenty of time to still blow it. The 2006 Tigers reached their highwater mark of 40 games above .500 after Game 112. This is Game 116 for the Tigers and they're 7-15 in their past 22 and about to fall to 7-16.

No, Not if they keep playing this way.

Thanks for nothing, Mets. Have now gone 42 outs without a hit, going back to the 4th inning of yesterday's game. Good on Stephen Vogt for leaving Williams in there. 111 pitches through 8 and I think he'll be given the chance to get the no-hitter.

And then be out for the next 2 seasons with an arm injury. We've seen this movie before.

Guessing they need 88 wins to take the division. As I see it, they're a little better than last year but not much. And they aren't a 'win the division by 10 games' kind of team. Most of MLB is just a decent teams and they are in that mix.

The core offensive players have to produce, the starting pitching has be good, and they can't lose on defense and stupidity.
