Then they faded late in the season and failed to win the title. This year their fade started earlier and not winning the title could mean no playoffs. 1 Quote

The 2006 Tigers reached their highwater mark of 40 games above .500 after Game 112. This is Game 116 for the Tigers and they're 7-15 in their past 22 and about to fall to 7-16. Quote

kdog Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Guessing they need 88 wins to take the division. As I see it, they're a little better than last year but not much. And they aren't a 'win the division by 10 games' kind of team. Most of MLB is just a decent teams and they are in that mix. The core offensive players have to produce, the starting pitching has be good,and they can't lose on defense and stupidity. Quote
