Nate7474 Posted yesterday at 01:51 AM Posted yesterday at 01:51 AM Schedule for next year.... that looks doable for a turnaround. Home games: Chicago, Green Bay, Minnesota, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, New England, New York Jets, Tennessee, New York Giants Road games: Chicago, Green Bay, Minnesota, Atlanta, Buffalo, Carolina, Miami, Arizona Quote
sagnam Posted yesterday at 01:53 AM Posted yesterday at 01:53 AM Raiders beat Chiefs 14-12 in the ugliest game of the season “The game had no touchdowns, eight field goals, four turnovers, a safety, nine sacks, 12 punts and a combined 372 yards. They were 0-for-4 in the red zone.” Quote

GalagaGuy Posted yesterday at 04:36 AM Posted yesterday at 04:36 AM What a wild ending in Pittsburgh. I had a feeling he was gonna miss that. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted yesterday at 04:41 AM Posted yesterday at 04:41 AM That 4th quarter in Pittsburgh was probably the most wild game I've seen in years. Quote
Screwball Posted yesterday at 04:46 AM Posted yesterday at 04:46 AM (edited) That was a wild game. One miss was for a point, and the other was for 3, but they both looked good off the foot.. Pit won't win a game in the playoffs and then hopefully Rodgers goes away. This also might have saved Tomlin's ass. Coming from a Steelers fan, and I'm guessing he's (Rodgers) not real popular in Lion country either. Edited yesterday at 04:47 AM by Screwball Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted yesterday at 04:48 AM Posted yesterday at 04:48 AM What a wild fourth quarter and av exciting end to the game. That was fun to watch. Multiple lead changes, great catches and throws, multiple missed kicks. That had everything you want out of a good game. Quote
GalagaGuy Posted yesterday at 07:02 AM Posted yesterday at 07:02 AM Calling it now, at least 4 of the road teams will win in the first round. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted yesterday at 03:12 PM Posted yesterday at 03:12 PM I didn’t think Zac Taylor would be available. It’s not the Bengals style. Quote

I get that there was no chance of the Packers winning so why call a time out and try for the FG... and if the score was something like 19-3 I'd say maybe there's some possible merit. But the Packers had a chance to NOT be shutout. I think pride dictates that you try to avoid the shut out if you can. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted yesterday at 04:20 PM Posted yesterday at 04:20 PM With Zac Taylor going back to Cincinnati, what about Brian Callahan as offensive coordinator? He was the Lions QB coach during Caldwell when Stafford went from more of a gunslinger to a pure passer. Quote

Is there any way he could fit in the Lions salary cap? I'm not sure I'd want the Lions to try to get him. On one hand: Premium pass rusher who instantly makes the DL one of the most dangerous in the game. But on the other hand... 28 years old, missed 5 games in '24, missed 2 games in '25, would cost a LOT of cap space AND would cost a lot of assets. That last part is the part that I'm most concerned with. If Crosby was a FA I'd be much more willing to go after him guns blazing. But if we're in a situation where we have to potentially give up two firsts just to get him, then also pay him a ton plus he's got 7 years of wear and tear... I'm a bit nervous with that. Our OL needs major attention (need: Center and/or Guard, and potentially LT, plus reliable backup), we may need two new safeties. We may need TE and LB help. I don't know if I want to give up two firsts when we have that many holes. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted yesterday at 05:12 PM Posted yesterday at 05:12 PM Now is the time to make the play for Hendrickson. Coming off injury if you can work in a one year prove it deal. Problem is Hendrickson had always wanted a multi year deal. Quote

It will be interesting though to see what they will do with Al-Quadin Muhammad. Brad and Dan do often seem to value their own talent, so that is one point in favor of Muhammad coming back to Detroit. However, given that he had an 11 sack season, there may be another team out there willing to pay more than the Lions think he's worth. I think if they do pay him, that will be their pass rusher opposite Aiden for next season and I wouldn't expect a move of significance at that position. Quote
